EscapisT to Korea

Mr Malcolm will be heading to Korea to represent Singapore in the IESF from October 6th to 9th! GL PROTOSS!!

I've learnt a lot about big tournaments and first thing is a checklist of everything to remember so you aren't stressed out organising on such short notice.
1) arrive immediately before so you don't forget all your builds. If you forget all your builds cos u cant get on a PC for 3 days then 20 minutes warmup against bronze chinese doesn't really make playing puma very easy :P.

Haha also the chinese crowd were really excitable but didn't understand the game and would all cheer and applaud like crazy for very little reason and make me think 'woah wtf just happened!?". In fact I'd built a round of lings and they ran to the rally point, VERY EXCITING! :P

Haha yeah I am completely broke and have had to borrow a bit of money as this trip was completely unsponsored and last-minute flights cost a lot of money. Also the $600 prize money won't be recieved for 6 month to a year (confirmed by every pro-gamer here). But I am definitely not giving up on pro-gaming.

Talking to all these guys has had an incredible impact on the way I think about the game and given me direction to not only take it more seriously and practice harder, but also knowing how to prepare for big tournaments and be comfortable in foreign settings so I can play my best.

Been recording some low quality video and taking a few photos so will definitely post a BLOG/VLOG when I get back!

Yea only the IEM trips weren't sponsored, which is really a shame!! Thats why we were frantically looking for a sponsor to help with the costs

All the other trips are sponsored by the organisations that are running the events so that makes it easy.
