BSG ClanLeague Format?

Hello there BSG folk. BSG ClanLeague Season 1 is nearly over, and it's going well. Semi's are looking like they're gonna be good fun.

There has, however, been a few avoidable issues. Clans and players not being able to make alotted time slots. There are teams stacked with Gold and Silver players, but the Bronzies didn't get much of a crack. This has brought up the question; should the format be changed?

So let's bring it to a vote so that YOU, the BSG community, can decide the format you want. Some clan war options for you:
+ [Formats] +
  1. KOTH GSTL Format (Current Format)
    • BSGCL admins select the first map in advance.
    • Coaches will decide the order of players to compete as the game progresses.
    • A player is able to achieve consecutive wins against the other team until he / she is defeated.
    • When a player loses, the next player from the team takes his place and selects the map.
  2. BO3 1v1 Nation Wars Format
    • Clans have a fixed number of players (5 or 6) and each player has a number.
    • Each player plays a Bo3 against a player from the opposing clan (#1 plays the other clan's #1, #2 plays the other #2, etc etc).
    • The clan with the most amount of sets won wins the match.
    • In the event the team has the same points, the team with the larger number of map wins goes through.
  3. BO3 1v1 Week Play Format
    • Clans have a fixed number of members.
    • Each player plays a Bo3 against a player from the opposing clan (#1 plays the other clan's #1, #2 plays the other #2, etc etc).
    • Instead of all games happening in one night, clans have a deadline (a week) for all their players to finish their sets at their discretion.
    • Team managers will be in charge of organizing their players games based on availability, but all sets must be played by the deadline.

There are pros and cons for every format;
+ [Pros and Cons] +

GSTL Format
  • Pros: Tried and true, fast, easy on casters and admins, teams can be as big as they want.
  • Cons: Everyone doesn't get to play (potentially), Bo1 not always the better player wins.

Nation Wars Format
  • Pros: Bo3 a fairer contest, EVERY player in the team gets to play.
  • Cons: Takes longer, teams are small so players may miss out on a spot, managers have little control over who plays who.

Week Play Format
  • Pros: Every player plays, easy on players as they play when they want.
  • Cons: Admin nightmare, won't be able to be casted / streamed (except maybe finals), hard on team managers.

Happy to take suggestions for other formats, and also suggestions on modifications for current formats. For instance; if GSTL Format is chosen we will modify the rules that force the first player that goes out to be Bronze and perhaps even make managers bench players for a week if that certain player has won a certain amount of sets.

If GSTL or Nation Wars format are chosen, we will put out the dates and create another poll to see which nights are best for players to maximize attendance. If the Week Play format is chosen, then first of all thank Synchro for coming up with it, and there will be no other poll.

Thanks BSGers
