SAL IS FULL!! Thank you everyone for your support! Backup list is starting! Looking forward to seeing everyone on Dec 28th for a night of Starcraft and fun!!!
Phoenix , will we be able to save our replays and take them back? I would really like to review the matches at home , perhaps with a thumbdrive. Do you think that will be possible?

Generally, LAN shop people won't allow stranger's sticks into their slots, but I will compile a replay pack and put it up on our community site =) You might get your replays 2-3 days after the event but it'll be everyone's replay so it'll be worth the wait to watch and learn from others as well as yourself
I was wondering if you were to choose randomly using cards for the brakets and it's single elimination, what if the top 2 players meet each other in first round which is suppose to be at least a semi-finals game?
What i suggest is, brackets chosen base on their league if you're doing single elimination so that the top 2 diamond players in SAL won't face each other so fast. Imagine if the finals is one-sided, it will get bored as the standard for SAL is far compare to SSL.
Just a concern. Maybe you can clarify this with me. Thanks.

Hi Blurry,
Part of a tournament is the randomness of the brackets. Its the bane of every major league, as it can really alter the brackets as you mentioned
Having said that, SAL is meant mainly for fun and community building. I don't want to make it super serious by ranking people and seeding. I am thinking of just drawing brackets on the day itself. If you get knocked out, you are still welcome to play with everyone there and have a good time. Remember, its monthly so if you are really good, you'll surface to the top within the next few months and everyone will see your talent =)
As for two top tier players meeting each other in the early brackets, I would just take it as good training for tournament style play. Major tournaments will be exactly the same scenario so might as well get used to the stress now ^^ Its all a learning experience

I have a question. Are players allowed to change their races in the course of the tournament? Like in between the BO3 matchups or in future games?
Once you start the tournament as a particular race, you can not change races. I don't see why you would want to do that at tournament. Fundamentals of micro and macro are far more important than races =)
You're strongly encouraged to bring your own keyboard, mice, mousepad and headset, to make the LAN as comfortable for you as possible. If not, we have great peripherals for you to use
