Guys, no worry. Yes, we need to collect those information from our youth members.
As for the call for confirmation it should take place around end of next week or if slots are filled before registration closes, the confirm list and brackets will be released.
As for the match format and maps, we have receive feedback. Due to time constrain, we already made the first part round robin so there are more matches for everyone as so they would not be KOed in one game but down the game into the final matches, we have to streamline the matches. Maybe best I could do is the final match for the champion and the 3rd and 4th would be best of three if time allowed. But no promised, at the moment it will still be B01 first.
Next is about the map pool, here's what someone suggests, since it's BO1, then the map pool to be reduced to 5 and have the coin flip loser veto 2 first and winner then veto 2, so the map left is for play.
Map pool changes also are suggested to be this,
Metropolis MLG version
Shatter Temple MLG version
Taldarin Altar
Shakuras Plateau
Xel Naga Caverns
Do share with us any more of your comments or suggestions.
We have already passed the 40 signup mark and happy to see such good response for a SC2 lan tournament event. Keep spreading the words about our youth engagement programme and the upcoming tournament.
Thanks to all of you in the SC2 community. Cheers.

really, a SC2 game takes 5-15mins on average. it's 40% less than the time stated on score screens because it's played on 'faster' mode. i really suggest bo3 out of group stages, it's completely possible to finish it within a day(as shown in previous sg lan tournys by hdphoenix).

hope you'll consider it and do the right thing!
Totally agree with muse. A Bo3 doesnt takes much time in a lan setting. As long as it is well organized and players play their matches in time. A Bo1 is too random and allows a lesser skilled player to beat a much high skilled player with cheese.

Thanks for the feedback, point taken.
However, the groups might be massives and with all the checking in and getting scores, toilet break and changing seats and waiting for each other to be ready, some time need to buffer in into each set. Hence, hope for you understand for now that we will have to kept at BO1 for now.
Ideal situation if everything runs like clockwork and if we have all day and full use at the cybercafe then it would be easier to fit in a format with more matches. We see how this one goes and optimize it along the way. Let's all give it a try first.
But rest assure we are taking note of your feedback, we are gamer too and sometimes play competitively so we also know how gamers feel. Thanks for your understanding guys. If we all as a team, do this well we can look forward to more from us and the programme.
I am sorry, that means you will not be qualified during the tournament. Don't worry, join us after end of the month and look out for more activities, goodies and activities from us.

There will not be confirmation email, usually we do it by call or release it on our website the confirm participant before the close of the registration, then you can check if you are in.

Map pool and veto changes will finalise end of this week if there are no other suggestions or objection.
are we allowed to use our own gaming peripherals? etc keyboard and mouse
