We now have ANZ servers run through NA. The majority of SEA players who signup are from ANZ.

I think G1 NA, G2 SEA, G3 NA might be a fair approach though. Up to your opponents (or Philosopher)

I usually leave it up to the players to decide, We will hold it on NA, but if certain players feel like they can perform better on SEA server they can choose to change. They will have to agree with their opponents, and tell me, if they decide to do that.

Yep, connecting to SEA is worse than playing on NA even without the Aussie server (at least for me).

Since chat sucks and its impossible for coherent thoughts to occur there. I'll post what I've been saying here.

Server issues has always been a longtime problem for our scene but for the most part we've chosen to play on the SEA server where our SEA friends played with <50 ping and ANZ played with 100-200 ping. This worked out well because the only alternative was the NA server where both SEA and ANZ players had to play with 200+ ping.

Now we have an Australian server where the ANZ players can play against each other with <50 ping. Naturally, this is a preferable option for them then playing against eachother with 100-200 ping. So even if tournaments were played on SEA, we would have every single ANZ player utilizing the above rule to play on Australia.

Signed up to this tournament were 19 ANZ players and 7 SEA players, putting the ANZ in clear majority. Some of those 7 SEA players may have 100-200 ping to Australia, making it an equal option to SEA and therefore irrelevant which server is played. For the sake of argument, lets say 2 of the 7. This leaves 19 ANZ vs 5 SEA. In a single elim bracket with these numbers, there will 13 matches in the first round. At most, 5 matches will need to be played on SEA. Therefore, we should allow the other 8 or more matches to be played on Australia without the hassle of moving server and have the 5 or less matches be discussed and moved to SEA.

If you explain to your opponent, that has 100-200 ping on sea, that you have 400 ping to Australia and would like to play on SEA. Your opponent will agree and move server.

We can either inconvenience 8 or more matches by hosting the tournament by default on SEA OR we can inconvenience 5 or less matches by hosting the tournament by default on Australia. It seems clear to me which is the better option.

Of course its unfortunate that we can't all play on one server but that's just a consequence of how spread out our scene is. We're all each other has, let's try not to get too pissy with one another.

To be fair, you should rename it to ANZcraft weekly maybe we can do 1 NA 1 Sea and 1 kr ?
