Race Wars 2015

In typical SEA fashion, Zerg triumphed over Protoss and Terran last year. This year, Protoss and Terran have become stronger (balance wise

). Can Zerg defend their title of winners of Race Wars 2014?

Captain & Roster Selection

Did you ever think you were gonna escape playing your hated mirror match-up in Race Wars? LOL DREAM HARDER. This year, aspiring Captains will have to go through a tournament for whichever race they want to represent, and the winner of the tournament will act as Captain for their race.

Format: Bo1 Double Elimination, Bo3 Losers' Finals and Finals
Date: 25 September 2015
Time: 7:00PM AEST
Eligibility: SEA - ANZ players
Sign up links: Terran - Protoss - Zerg
Sign up instruction: Please put your most-known-as alias as your sign-up name!

* No seeding will be done, nor any form of OSC points will be given

I understand that the Captain doesn't need to be the best player around, but I'm also certain that some of the better players will not be interested in participating in the tournament since there's not much to gain from. Hopefully the better players will give the chance to others!

Once the Captains are selected, Captains will have a week to round up a roster of 12, however they want to, be it a thread on SC2SEA (like last year), or personal invitations. They don't need to be the best 12 players of SEA, you can get a Gold fighter if you want to! I advise Captains to exercise impartiality so the whole roster won't just consist of your close friends. Captains must submit their roster to me by 2 October 2015, 2359 AEST.

Format of Race Wars

Bo9 All Kill format (HotS)
5th game = LOTV Archon Mode
Players for the Archon Mode match cannot be used in the All Kill format
Archon Mode players and starters for All Kill format will be pre-determined by Captains
The winner of the 4th game continues for the 6th game
Maps will be made known at a later date (probably something exciting)
This means out of the 12 selected players on the roster, a maximum of 7 will be able to play

If you're unable to make it for all of the above mentioned dates and timing for your race, you are advised not to be part of the roster so others who can make it can be in the roster. Hopefully LOTV Beta is still around before the event finishes!

Terran Captain: Azure
Protoss Captain: Probe
Zerg Captain: Insane AI (Pox)

Terran captain was decided by FFA (played by Azure, Fullmetal, and Fiend) while Probe was the only person who checked in. Zerg captain was decided by Pox and Satu playing in an 8 player map with 6 other Insane AIs. Satu was the first to get rekt. So, by default, Pox is Zerg's captain!

Captains now have a week to do up a roster, most preferably by making an SC2SEA thread and selecting people who express their interest in participating. Rosters will be made known by next week!
