Not to mention having restrictions on age means they don't need to censor people (*cough*cod players*cough*) to ensure an environment where minors would be exposed to foul language etc. regardless of their guardians trying to manage what they're exposed to...

Depends on the definition of 'public'... is an event that you've paid entry for considered 'public'? Any minor there would only be there with the permission of (and accompanied by) a parent or guardian.
