Behind the Username is a casual interview series where I ask some questions of regular players I meet in and around SC2SEA and our tournaments.

Today I bring you some thoughts from CasualPlayer who recently won the 105th GPD Tournament (and tore me a new one in his rampage through the brackets).

First of all, thank you for taking the time to answer these questions!

When I faced you in the GPDL #105 I was taken to pieces by the efficacy of your harassing tactics, and after getting crushed in my game, I was not surprised when I later discovered you had won the entire event. The first obligatory questions I have are these: How long have you been playing Starcraft, and have you always played protoss?

Been playing since WOL back in 2010, stopped for quite a bit after HOTS released and back on it recently probably half a year or so


You mentioned previously that you are based in Brunei. Would you tell us about the SC2 scene there? Are there tournaments and clan wars there as well?

I can barely find players here. HAHA. That's the wrap up


Your protoss play was very active and quite fun to witness, even while it was tearing me to shreds - what are your favourite builds? Do you look to any progamers for inspiration?

Like my IGN(CasualPlayer), I do not study builds or refine builds. I just play around but I do watch stream when I am not playing so as to get some ideas of how to play the game better I watch Elfi & Desrow, progamer probably Hero


A lot of us, whether on tournament or ladder, have games which stick in our memory as being more fun or entertaining than others. Do you have a war story or favourite match you'd like to brag about?

Not really


Finally, for a bit of fun: if there was anyone in the world you could challenge to a Best of Five match, who would it be, and why?

Somehow I thought of Husky. Maybe him
