IXL Presents the IXLOpen $120 + SCS points Thur 31st
Ninth legion Gaming proudly presents the IXL Open.
We wanted to put on a tournament that can increase skill level and awareness of the many talented players there are in this part of the globe. With this in mind we have geared the IXLO with a greater emphasis on player preparation and execution to defeat their opponents. Hopefully the 2 day format and the BO5 finals can lend itself to some competitive and exciting games while providing the players with a smooth gaming experience overall as a priority.

it'll run like a normal double elim tournament. up until the remaining 4 so there will be 2 top bracket and 2 lower bracket. They run just as they would from day one except the focus will be on a bigger best of series.
I assume it might be because IEM Qualifiers are that Friday + Sat, and Masters Cup on the Sunday?
Exactly right, we by no means want any overlap.
If you guys cant make it during the times scheduled im sorry, but the tournament wont be rescheduled.
There is only much we can achieve to really do our best for the majority of people.
We will be looking at way to improve on the tournament for future references but as it is everything is set in stone.

I guess so...hope it goes well.

Yeah...On a weekends is where most people are more free to join the tournament, than on a weekday.

So wouldn't it be much better for a tournament to be held on Friday evening or on Saturday (where you don't have to go to work, college, University, etc... on the next day)? So people, will want to play and not leave in the middle of the tournament, because the next day they have commitments they need to attend.
Sunday is fine as well, if you start in the morning or Afternoon.
You have to be more convenient for the potential players, rather than for yourself (assuming its convenient for you), to get people to join (as first thing people consider before joining a tournament, is if they are free to do it).

It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.

Many Optus/TPG consumers such as myself can't sustain a connection to NA as of late - why was the choice made to host on NA and nor KR or even our glorious SEA?
@Flux and Schnitzel, I live in the Philippines where like $5 is around 300-400Pesos i think? and like the food in our school costs around 30-70Pesos depending on what you buy. So like there's 5 school days in a week and yeah
