Grats on being part of the 0.001% of people that can relate gaming and work together, but for the rest of us, not bragging about our achievements irl doesn't mean we don't want to grow esports, its because we are smart enough to distinguish between the 2.

But back on topic, because your post was clearly just an excuse to brag about your job (btw I earn more money than you), mailing out certificates and trophies costs money, time and effort for zero gain. It wont happen.
My original argument was that it would be useful for having it on your resume for a pro-gamer OR gaming-industry related job. L2Read.

How is not doing what you love being 'smart enough to distinguish between the 2'?

I don't even know if you're thinking. It's not zero gain. A tangible item is worth infinitely more than an intangible statement. I would gladly have the organizers to take $20 out of the prize pool to send trophies and such so the top 3 winners.

Also what is money when you don't need it? I'd happily enjoy my job, cover my living expenses than be someone's bitch while earning useless excess money.

If you disagree PM me I don't want to flood this thread with offtopic

I'm sorry, but what the **** do you do for the esports scene?

Here I am spending hours doing casts for the community, putting work into production for said casts as well as playing the game at a fairly high level. I've dedicated quite abit of my own time for this community and game, and here you come waving your dick around saying that I don't want esports to grow, when all you do is play a few ladder games and post once or twice. Hell, i've played in more sc2sea tourneys than you have, and i have to cast a good number of them as well.

You're an idiot. There's nothing else about it. Trophies + shipping cost will cost more than most of the prize pools, and in 99% of situations the player would prefer having money anyway. The 1% of situation is a minority, and i'm sorry but you don't get your way.

If you want a certificate, sure go ahead and make yourself one, but any graphic designers in the community have better things to do than create useless certificates because you want to feel like showing your IRL friends how good you are at online games.

If you want a permanent record, print out the brackets from the tourney, or the news post recording the winner.
