Yeah like it has been mentioned it's overly complicated and needs to be transparent.

Also I am not sure I like the colours - maybe the original colours with some kid of wash to dull it or add rust or whatever may be better that making all the logos basically the same colour? You also might be able to improve the font so it doesn't contrast so much. You don't need it so bright and with such severe shadowing/embossing seeing it has the list burst or whatever behind it so there's no risk of it blending in with the brackground image.

As for the second image I think spend more time on it before submitting it :P It looks like you rushed it, which you did.
