This week in the finals we saw the PvZ match up of previous winner Bluey against Narse, our Canadian wonder who has been blitzing the tournament but never making it to the finals.
Game 1: Whirlwind.
We had Narse spawn up on the top right position with Bluey spawning cross spawns in the bottom left. Narse through out the challenge of Bluey to "7 gate archon rush" and unfortunately that is exactly what happened. Narse played standard and had built up a scary baneling bust but the forcefields from bluey were far to strong and the counter from his 8 game timing was to powerful for roach/ling/bling to hold off.
Bluey 1 - 0 Narse
Game 2: Neo Planet S
In game 2 we saw Narse spawning on the left spawn of Neo Planet S with Bluey spawning on the right. Bluey decided to nexus first which would have fallen short due to Narse's 7 pool play that was scouted by Bluey. Bluey masterfully walled off and played sim city before teching to a 2,2 stalker/voidray army to crush the 2,0 hyrdra/roach/ling force of Narse.
Bluey 2 - 0 Narse
Game 3: Bel'Shir Vestige
Game number 3 had to be the best game that anyone has ever seen and was definitely something that will either become more common or immortalized in all of BSG history. Narse playing standard opened on a 15 hatch in the northern position but was unable to scout the cannon rush that was on the way from Bluey. Narse was able to hold off but the damage was done, three cannons with two pylons now blocking his ramp completely. Only after just saving his hatchery he started to mass roaches to break out. What Narse had no knowledge of that Bluey was no where near done with his cannon containing and had amassed 23 cannons outside the natural of Narse. With Narse contained Bluey started to take every single expansion on the map while defending from the endless mutalisk of narse. Narse finally decided he had enough and decided to tech to broodlords just as bluey ran in with 200/200 probe only army and destroyed his natural expansion. After a quick conversation on what was going on, Bluey decided to tap out as he felt that it had gone on long enough.
Bluey 2 - 1 Narse
Game 4: Klontas Mire
This map was the viewers choice on the stream, hoping to see Narse 6 pool Bluey but both players decided to play a macro game with Bluey spawning on the left of the map with Narse taking the right. Narse and Bluey both opted to open with economy based builds with Bluey quickly taking the expansion lead. As the game wore on we saw Bluey amassing a huge 3,3,3 Stalker force before pushing out to be held off by swarm hosts as Narse was building Ultras. The ultras succeded in pushing back the army and evening the supply for the first time all game. Ultimately in the long run Bluey was able to poke in and do enough damage to each of the expansions of Narse which ultimately forced Narse to tap out, giving Bluey his second BSG win.
Bluey 3 - 1 Narse
