I personally don't think he needs to supply anything more than he has. I've just spent 5 minutes googling and found enough information to know that he isn't being shady. Besides, if I was a player I'd also be on the buzzer chatting with him for more info to figure out if the situation was right for me.
Surely we don't need to spoon-feed players - I mean, is there no self-initiative anymore!?
I also think it's a dangerous road to expect all the inner workings of new faces to be made public so that the greater community can judge whether their plan will work or not. I would hazard to guess that 99% of the time that person would be shot down for setting goals higher than the community perceives attainable at the time.
