last season we learned:
- 5 divisions is not enough (which is a good thing, a ton of people are interested in competitive SC2 leagues like this one)
- there are barely enough BSGPD players/teams interested to fill one division, yet alone 2.
what has caused the admins to believe the above 2 facts are no longer true?
Umm I dont know what league you were playing in, But BSG league last season had the perfect amount of teams (10-11) and PD league actually had too many that teams were having to play 2 times a week

i don't know what league you were playing in, but...
tier 5 of SEACL2 contained every BSGP team. by the end of the season people had improved(as you would hope) to the point that it was essentially a GPD competition. there was a huge gap between the strongest tier 5 team, and the weakest tier 4 team, tier 4 starting out as 95% diamond/masters and finishing pretty much only masters (with a couple of GMs). only an all plat team filled this gap at signups, but this was (at the admins' request i believe) merged with another tier 5 team and re split into 2 equal teams.
to suggest that there were enough PD and BSG teams to overfill 2 divisions is simply false.

All stemmed from this comment and the back and forth from yourself and Arnor.
You are suggesting there arent enough players in BSGPD to fill two divisions.
I stated, going from history, I disagree given the amount of players and teams in T5(BSG) and T4(PD) of SEACL #2.

As stated by people who played in the PD tier, they were playing TWO matches a week to keep their divison (T4) on schedule with the other tiers.- -You pointed this out yourself, "5 divisions is not enough". Which Tier were you referring to if not T4 like the rest of us are?
TL;DR - My point is that the number of tiers to me seems fine, if not you could add more. However you're suggesting there should be a BSGPD tier all smashed together because theres nobody in BSGPD anymore / low interest from players in those leagues?
I disagee.
I hope that made my point more clear, if i've misunderstood anything let me know.
Ultimately, why don't we go with the suggestion of "lets wait and see how many people actually sign up" before we go cutting divisions and throwing 80% of the community's skill variance into one league together? If I was a bronze and it was BSGPD, I tell you now I wouldn't touch the event with a very large stick.

you literally quoted the post where i explained how last season tier 4 was not plat/diamond, then you point out that there were 16 tier 4 teams and expect me agree that their were 16 plat/diamond teams. either you didn't read the post you quoted or you are trolling me right now.
