Welcome to season 2 of the Highschool League. Congratulations to the winners of season 1, Balwyn High School. This season we are sponsored by Tt eSPORTS and they have gratiously sponsored knuckers keyboards to the winning team of the High School League, good luck to all teams this season.
Format:
Four best of 3 1v1's
One best of 3 2v2
All games are worth one point. The 1v1's will be played simultaneously and the 2v2 will be played at the end.

Rules
Default time for games are on Saturdays at 7.30pm, if players are unable to make this time it is up to the team captains to re-arrange to play earlier in the week or later.

New!!Important update for lineups:
These were the instructions sent out, it has been updated with an amendment. Rather than requiring a BSG and a PD match every week, teams need to only play one of these. It is up to the teams to agree on one of these matches for their seed 4 slot every week. This is to help alleviate scheduling issues, it is encouraged if you have to numbers to play BSG and PD but not compulsory.

To clarify, teams may decide on whether to have a BSG or a PD match for their seed 4, all the other slots are open to any ranks. If a BSG match is decided then both teams must use BSG players in seed 4. While it is not strictly PD for seed 3, it is encouraged to play PD players if they other team is doing so to ensure all players will get through the rotation.

For every round all teams will need to play a B/S/G match and/or P/D match. Every week you will submit a lineup to me by friday night, games will be played out on saturday night. Failure to send in a lineup by the deadline will result in a penalty for your games.

You do not need to send in your 2v2 lineups, they can be decided on the night and you may re-use players for them.

Seeds must be sent in from highest league to lowest, ie. if a plays, they must be listed as seed 1. Every team has at least one B/S/G, one P/D and one GM, it is not compulsory for the GM to play every week, however at least a B/S/G or P/D must play every week in the allocated seed 4.

I will give a list of starting maps at the beginning of each week, losers get to pick the next map and each player is allowed one veto.

BM Recently it seems that there have been some issues with bad manner and etiquette in games. While it hasn't been a major issue it has raised some concern and I believe rules against this should be enforced. Insults and slander against other players will not be tolerated, first offence will result in a warning, second offences will require review and teams may be penalised wins from previous matches.

Disconnects - If disconnect is before the 2 minute mark then it is a regame, if it occurs again then the win is awarded to the non-disconnecting player. For games longer than 2 minutes if the disconnecting player is at an disadvantage then it is a loss to them. If it is equal then it is a regame, if both players cannot agree on the situation then the decision will be made at the admin's discretion after reviewing the replay.

Results must be submitted by the winning team before Friday via this thread otherwise it will be deemed a draw for both teams. Results must be submitted in the example format shown below. All matches must be played. Replays must be submitted alongside results, name the replays with the seeds and if you want you can suggest any replays that you wish to be casted.

Observers
Observers are not allowed for streamed games, for all other games observers may only be allowed upon both players agreeing. Admins, Casters, Streamers are always allowed in games.

for this round try to finsh what games you can but the general consensus among the captains was to postpone this tournament until late november as a result of PAC being unable to commit, among other members as well

Here was the post to all the captains
PAC has requested to withdraw from the competition. With the departure of a complete team this significantly reduces the amount of participants within the tournament. This I fear however will only be the beginning as more senior students will be committing themselves as we are entering into the final stretches of the exam period. We will continue to lose players who will spend less time in the game until their studies are over. This is definitely an issue as the playoff weeks will be directly coincide with the exam schedule.
So I believe that the best choice at this point would be to suspend the league until directly after the exam period. So in the latter half of november and the league will run until the end of the year.
However I want to hear what the captains think of this option.

the general consensus from the captains is that we will postpone until late november, as there are games from every match in round 2 that hasn't been completed, the general idea is to finsh as many games as you can, what you cannot finsh will begin when we start back up the tournament. A ballpark for the date will be in the last or second last week of november after the year 12 exams.

Wow pretty cool idea, I've heard in singapore they have esports as a school sport. Like how we have footy teams or cricket teams they have esports teams.
If theres going to be a season three i might try and get my school (strathmore secondary college) into this will be mad fun.

Any chance we can get moving and finish the season off? I imagine there's going to be a lot of people who have to leave teams as they graduate. I can understand that some people might still have exams, but it's getting a bit ridiculous for everyone else to have to wait around now. Not meaning to sound like an asshole, but it'd be nice to finish this off so I can pass over captainship for next season.

I'm certain that everyone, if not, 95% of the players in this league, are finished with exams now. Please just resume the season so we can finish it up.
