I will make statements about all the issues you have brought up but I will be out of contact for all of today and some of the weekend.
All players were checked for league rank when they were put down or subbed in, my players were checked by Asrathiel.
SEACL T5 also ignored in season promotions and that was a much longer season. Those who were around would remember that we had to change the rules from 2 plats a week, to three or some teams wouldnt be able to play anymore. For teams who entered with no platinums at the start, this meant they couldnt compete at all, but we dealt with it, we knew the rules going in.
If I started making people play at the rank they are right each second we woudl have cases were:
a) starting players would become invalid the day of the match..
b) team captains who get their 5 players to turn up, are suddenly left with a team that can't all play.
Just look at the TCP game, they had to use a sub to play a BSG, if kero was classified as platinum would they of had another BSG sub?
My whole aim here was to provide games for BSGP level players. People at our level are both really random in terms of activity, so even if you have 10 BSG players, you could end up with only 1 on the night. We also improve quite fast.
The fact remains every player was BSGP when they signed up 3 weeks ago... If in 3 weeks they improve, why should their captains be penalised by losing players. Some rosters arent very big as is
As far I was aware, you guys added a Diamond player to your roster mid-way throughout the tournament. Yet, somehow this qualifies the guy to be Platinum? I apologise in advance if I'm wrong and this isn't the case. But I was told the guy was "added" to your roster whilst being a "Diamond" player. Is this true?
Also, if a Team signs up that has around 10 BSG players and they only end up with 1 on the night...... that's their own fault. Quiet frankly, they need to get their ass into gear and get organised.
As stated before though, I don't really care seeing as this was just a nothing tournament just to have fun (I certainly had fun so thx for that). If it was SEACL or something of the likes, my posts would be coming accross much more aggressive. I'd also like to add that we were the only team who actually played a Bronze player in our matches. I'm not exactly sure how SEACL works, but I hope one player from each league must play.
