Such negative responses. I like the ignorant jokes tbh because it gets people like my parents to get engaged into this sort of stuff, it's better to have little knowledge rather than none.

The problem is that ABC (especially programs like Foreign Correspondent) are meant to be completely unbiased in their presentation. If you watch programs like Media Watch, Four Corners and even the old 7:30 Report with Kerry O'Brien, you'll notice that they generally are well informed and focus on the truth instead of fear-mongering.

That's the unsettling thing, that the people who're meant to be seeing the full picture are still focusing on the ultra-negative aspect of things. Lest I sound too cliché, these are the people we have to win over before we can win over everyone else.
