I'm not saying to not play 2v2, they are fun at that's really what the games about for most people. But if you are doing 2v2's till you are comfortable enough to play 1v1 games I think that is a bad idea. You lose nothing by jumping straight into the deep end and 2v2 is a very very different beast from 1v1.

Agreed - play 2v2 if you want to improve at 2v2. To improve overall mechanics play 1v1 (easier to spot improvement area)
