just want to keep this in mind.. giving out a cake to everyone in the room - is going to take a ******* long time. and the schedule might have to keep moving.. just bare that in mind I guess.. we can't expect the WCS staff to dedicate 30 mins to giving out cake and the ensuring delay to the matches afterwards.

Also, is there any official notification that Tastosis will be casting any of the matches on Saturday?.. or are they casting the Oceanic finals only?

Cupcakes can be given out sans WCS and they can continue with the broadcast.

Yeah we'll be mixing it up on Sunday. Pairing different people throughout.

Just buy a large, decently made custom cake - seems like the cheapest, easiest choice to handle logistically! Present it to him on stream, everyone can sing, then cut it on a table down the back where those who are invited to have some can do when the time is available.
Remember there are going to be hundreds and hundreds of people there, including camera crew and all sorts of admin stuff, so you want to keep it simple!

:P I tend to forget 300 is still massive.
perhaps make the colour of the base more bright (nice blue or brighter green (grass coloured)
and make the icing for the cupcakes more solid. think it looks more professional that way. maybe in a box so you don't see all the cupcake wrappers too?
Just so the presentation looks amazing before it gets cut.

edit like a hamper tray but open at the bottom so all you need to do is lift then cut the icing so people can start nomming on cupcakes

Okay, just ordered the cake. Fingers cross it goes well.

Basically that^^ with a ribbon/cardboard covering the edges. The icing is a bit smoother. And candles forming the number 27 in the top right space.
