I doubt any of us want to boycott WCS, I guess you can say and expect that we will most likely be annoyed if we didnt get a ticket to this event. Its going to be awesome! I am sure that something will get sorted regardless, and yes Mayo a Barcraft will also be awesome .
I guess after today when we all have had time to de-stress we can work on a solution.
How have I missed the point? I said I watched the same podcast as you guys did and I never assumed standing room was an option. I heard the same stuff Dox said as you. I do not feel lied to. I do not feel like inadequate information was conveyed. It was conveyed, over and over, that tickets would need to be booked because of venue capacity. Tell me what I'm missing.

People aren't angry they missed out on tickets, they are angry that they were led to believe (whether through miscommunication or their own wrong interpretation) that tickets were not essential to being able to spectate.
Whether you assumed standing room is an option or not is irrelevant when it seems that a large majority of sc2sea thought it was. It should have been made clear that it wasn't, that is the point you missed.

Azz had a chance at this one point in the game where he had a nexus and 6 probes. But he found a way to **** it up from there 3 times in a row - Iaguz
I found out about tasteless and artosis going to Sydney only yesterday, not until around 10am this morning I found out that tickets went on sale at 9am so I rushed to the site and found they were sold out and was REALLY bummed out.
I then saw a post from ACL on facebook saying for those who missed out they would be posting something soon. Naturally because of how much I want to go to this event I was watching the page like a hawk and saw this post and was really disgusted. Not only because of how un-fare it is as only 300 were available and wouldn’t even be a plausible option for someone living in another state (not sure if I would try getting it from the person or not if I lived in Sydney or not but that’s not the issue) or that eSports is trying to get a good name for itself and this shit is already happening at the first major thing we have in Australia.
ACL deleted the post in like a minute or so and I did have a feeling about it, I just think that this needs to be out there for people to know. I blacked out the name myself as I assume he might get a lot of upset messages through Facebook or something which I don’t think is helping anyone.
So whats everyone elses opinion on this? This is also my first post on SC2SEA
EDIT: THIS POST GOT NINJA MOVED. IT WAS REGARDING THE SCALPING OF TICKETS FROM XORMENTORS POST. SOME GUY WAS GONNA SELL HIS SPARES FOR $30 OUTSIDE THE VENUE.
Sunset, I get that some people will think as you do, but a very large number of people 'believed' that there would be standing room, myself included. In fact, just like many others, I spread this 'belief' far and wide to make sure as many sc2 nerds came and watched wcs. So not only did I believe something incorrectly I passed it on to others who may have missed out because they didn't think lining up at 9am on the dot was an urgency.
Now I can't say for sure where I came to this belief that there would be 300 seats + standing room, but I know it was spread by many people, including Chadman and others. I did not watch the podcast.
I feel sorry for those who feel the miscommunication cost them a chance of seeing ******* TASTOSIS. I'm not even the biggest sc2 fan and I'm already excited.
Looks like I won't be going then, thank god I didn't book flights. 9am was extremely hard to get to given school starts at 8:55 and assembly goes on to 9:10, I checked at the end of assembly and they were gone
Also the miscommunication regarding the age restrictions in hindsight was kind of bad, all I did was call up the place and they told me it was for all ages with wristbands, did anyone even contact the venue regarding the age limit after my blog?
Have fun to all who made it, I feel we have a lot to learn from this event, taking it in our stride as we continue to help eSports grow!
PS. If even one person with a ticket doesn't end up going the amount of disappoint will be over 9000.

This was actually the result of people contacting the venue.

Hmm, not sure what you're getting at with this comment but I agree...I think.
@Dox hmm that response is annoying and vague, I guess my e-mail was a bit more pushy for clarification due to the nature of the event. Doing a great job man, fight through the hate and make it the best event you can, keep up the good work.

@ Mafia, wouldn't an iaguz 2.0 be a child of mine and not a brother? I have many brothers, where do the numbers end?! Though, amusingly, in the rare instances that my brother is playing a game with me or something he goes by the handle Zugai. If I can get him to WCS so there's no confusion just call him Josh.
