Scoring will follow xGTL format:

The matches are best of 5 (First to win 3), ProLeague format with an ace match. The lineups are submitted confidentially by team captains and the full lineups are published before the match day. A lineup will consist of four players to play a Bo3, and an ace player who can be any player, even one who has already played. Each of the teams play each other once in the round robin phase, before qualifying for an elimination playoff. All six teams will be involved in the playoffs for the finals with the bottom four seeds playing off in preliminary finals for the right to face the top two in the semi finals. All the the games will be ran simultaneously and streaming only done if both teams approve. The ACE match player can be any player in your roster and doesn't have to be determined until the time of the ACE match
NOTE: PD teams must play at least 1 Platinum player.

Can we still play even if we haven't placed this season? I haven't done my placement match yet, but I've only ever been in Bronze, Silver or Gold, so can I still play or do we have to be in a league?

The reason I ask is that if I get placed into plat I won't be able to play in the BSG league

I recommend you do your placement and see where you get placed and that will be determine which team you play for.

So the rules of ProLeague format are...
Match-ups one to four are each a best of 3 played at the same time by 4 different players from each team resulting in a four game scoreline and if the score is 2 - 2 an ace match is played to decide the outcome?
I am unfamiliar with the format so just trying to clarify it in my head before I let my players know what's going on.

Also, what is the decision on players who get promoted during the league?
If you say they can no longer continue in their starting team, I will be encouraging my players to stay away from ladder preventing this issue and keeping enough players for us to continue in the league.
Seems it would be a better rule to allow the players to continue in whatever team they are in for the first week maybe? (assuming that league is legit of course and obviously placement match for s8 must be played)

Sorry for the extra questions but lastly, what are the restrictions on BSG?
Do we have to have a certain number from and or should I tell those guys they're not required since I'd be afraid the other teams would just field golds?

Ok,

Q1) What you said is 100% correct and if it goes to Ace match it is considered a Minor Win
Q2) What ever league they start in in Round 1 will be the one they're in throughout the whole tourney, I don't want people playing less SC2 to play in this! S8 placement must be played though and obviously no ranking lowering on purpose.
Q3)BSG teams are pretty short on numbers so hopefully this isn't an issue but Ill change it like PD where 1 B/S must be played in the first game.

Also.. NSW PD team will be taking on ninja brett - aka mOOnPReNtice and killself - Zerg and Terran respectively.. need to work out team rosters and finalise format before we start leaping into round 1.. :S

Talking with the WA guys who have some scheduling conflicts with this weekend - is there any rule regarding postponement? Can we organise to postpone matches between ourselves as long as we get the games completed by a certain day? If we can organise some postponed matches, I can submit a lineup tonight. Otherwise, it'll rely on my ability to contact everyone which I can't guarantee (if someone happens to not be online tonight)

Also just while I'm thinking about this sort of this, an issue that was found during SEACL - is there a substitution policy? Cana team sub someone in the event of a no-show?

All the dates are getting pushed back one week as well so everything can be fully worked out and there is no rush.
