Hey Guys, I've been watching these videos for a while now, and in my opinion they are one of the most informative videos about ZvX. Seriously he regularly beats pros and he knows what his doing! Anyway I'm going to stop rambling and link the thread on TL and their youtube channel.

Yeah, I've sat down and watched some of this guys videos and while he understands a lot, he doesn't understand enough to understand that he doesn't understand anything at all.

Fungals will mess up your positioning, forcing units to clump and allowing opponent to get the epic concave
Roach, Infestor with a few hydra is indeed better than Roach Infestor but you want infestors first.
Just have to try Roach, Hydra against Roach infestor to see the difference

If you opponent is bad though and you are able to get epic concave then thats a different story

Looks like some really good tutorials!

I have to say I disagree with this line though: "Don't be afraid to save larva once you've hit your benchmark in regards to Drones. Larva doesn't disappear!"

Actually by leaving larva idle you stunt your larva production! constant production is so much more important then saving larvae! Whenever I get confused against an ambigious play and stop producing to save larvae i get mad at myself cos i realise if i just kept producing random rounds of drone/units/drones/units I woulda been so much more efficient, even if all I needed for the situation was 1 or the other if u just macro properly u get both!

But that aside looks like a solid resource, well-spoken vod that shows some good understanding of many elements of the game! Recommend Zergies to watch these!

Going to max with roach hydra vs roach infestor is an easy way to lose a game. The timing of roach/hydra attacks are very thin vs roach infestor -- there is a reason you very rarely, if ever, see roach hydra used in competetive games. Hydras are simply too slow to get into position fast enough to compensate for the fact that they're made out of paper.

Generally, at 200/200, adding hydras to your roach/infestor ball (and I mean a small amount -- roughly 8-12) is a good idea, as they can sit at the back of the concave and fire away. The issue is that Regret is correct. Roach hydra is as strong, except 18 hydras is a LOT more supply then 6 infestors, so ur maxed roach hydra army is siginficantly weaker than his. This is why infestor play is superior in a perfect game but roach hydra that attacks at a good timing can still be good.

Ive watched a lot of the videos and like what pig said the larva thing irked me but i really enjoy the series it helps me a lot. (pig when asked bout zvp replies, "I dont know and i dont care no protoss on SEA" :P)

I must also disagree with the roach/hydra thing. Honestly, hydras are just too weak for how slow they are. They do great DPS, but can't take any damage. This is a problem in an army that is made to die in wave after wave of crashing into your enemy from all sides.

First off, hydras cannot attack from all sides, they cannot get in good positions, and should be used primarily as a defensive unit. Secondly, an expensive unit that dies fast and deals almost no damage is close to useless. I would take roaches with extra upgrades over roach/hydra any day of the week.

You're crazy. Its all about knowing when to make the hydras, of course a roach max off like 60 drones crushes someone who transitions to hydra without a solid ball of roaches. You get yourself into a position where you can get a hydra ball. Also if the roach player has better upgrades that won't be because he didn't make hydras... (he'll have more supply but unless he catches you out of position your army is significantly stronger)

These shows aren't as good as they were because Regret actually doesn't care anymore. I'll still watch a couple just because they're interesting and still do help. Still worth it but not as many gems of info as there used to be.

Some of the things he says about hydras are quite debatable though... and saving up larvae is typically bad, because when you have more than 3 larvae, your hatchery also stops making "natural" larva - you lose 1 larva per 15 seconds.

Well there ARE times where you don't want to put all your supply in to useless lings or roaches, but tech up and drone, and it's kind of common to float some larvae doing this floating larvae tech thing.
