Seohyeon pmed me today to inform me with hes current status and asked me if I could inform it to SEA community.
He is sincerely sorry about what he did, he had no idea about how big the thing he was doing was and how serious it was to the SEA community
He does not want to damage vVv gaming's reputation and he will be retiring as soon as possible. He will be deactivating tweeter and end hes career but still play games casually on KR server.
He said he cannot deactivate skype or facebook because its something he uses for hes social life too.
He will be contacting vVv gaming himself about this, screen shotting stuff from sc2sea to make it clear
This is sad to hear but he doesn't have to make it this way.
Learn from this mistake, and come back stronger.
Same idea. Of course we don't know the full story and will probably never know (best like that maybe) what happened really between Chobo and Seohyeon so I guess we might not understand all their decisions.
nononononono!~ I've played this guy on ladder before and he seems like a very nice guy. His run suggests a lot of potential (despite it being only sea) and making a mistake shouldn't end an opputruinty for someone like this
Yeah really need to talk to him about not doing something so extreme.. he is a talented player and should peruse his passion. Just do it the right way.
I don't care what a bunch of fools think - our community, however proud of it we are, is not significant enough for a talented player to think we expect him to end his career over this.
And for those of you, if any, who think this should end his career...you disgust me.

Can you please clarify who you are calling "a bunch of fools"?

*sigh*
I don't feel like going 12 rounds, but you make it hard with statements like these.
The issue centre on cheating and fraud, he is gaining money from people through deception. The community, or size of it, or the opinion of itself has nothing to do with it. If he thinks that he should retire because he cheated then so be it, it's not on the communities head though.
It just irks me that your post implies that if he did it to a "significant" community like TL it's unacceptable except because we're smaller and he's talented it's somehow more excusable. The 'crime' is completely independent of who the 'victim' is.

I don't entirely understand peoples unhappiness that he is quitting sc2 (at least for now)...
We just got rid of not one, but TWO cheaters, who cheated knowingly for months on end.
That and our punishment was not even remotely overly harsh, we let people know he cheated, and barred him from playing in our small communities tournaments. He's the one deciding to quit the scene for good. If he can't hack being 'known' as a cheater, he should leave, because it is a stigma that will stick for him for the rest of his gaming life, just ask anyone who has previously cheated.
