By saying that he is a cheater, I am not implying he has been using hacks, rather he has been breaking ToS by getting others to play on his acc, portrait farming etc. I feel that AsG defending ChoBo previously is a perfectly fine act, however, when I saw that Sedz continued to defend him in the 1st page I find it absolutely ridiculous how he could still defend ChoBo when such damning evidence has been put before us.
Once again, I applaud you for supporting a clan member (when FaDe defended evetS) that's an aspect a good clan/team needs to have but when such evidence is presented I find it ridiculous that you can continue defending Kice.
PS. ChoBo has played multiple Ace games for Last Season's SEACL T3 and I feel that it is unfair to the other teams who have played vs AsG in the last season. However, I'm sure other AsG players + Dox played a 100% legitimate game.. just wondering
I wasn't continuing to defend him, if you re-read my post I was just making sure that people were 100% correct about this.
You want my honest opinion? Yeah this is pretty damning evidence. And yes, it would be ludicrous and a huge task to go about defending him. To be honest, I just want all of this to be over with, regardless of the outcome, so I can start building my clan's rep back up again and move on.
Also. I know it will probably mean absolutely nothing, but it was him playing in SEACL.
I think a lot of people are missing the point here. He may very well be a SEA GM level so if you just grab him out of the blue he can handle himself no problems. There is an extremely large difference between that and changing your hotkeys completely and demolishing SEA's best no sweat.
I stayed out of the hacking war because i was not completely convinced and didn't have enough time to analyse everything myself. I am however completely sure that he has had someone else smurphing on his account, the evidence is just far too good. You CANNOT change your hotkey set-up or game mannerisms game to game. It just doesn't happen
From what I can tell this is kinda sc2services 'business model' take some player with potential, power level his account for a fee, then teach them enough, for a fee again to wing it at that level and not get destroyed constantly.
The fact he liked that site on his facebook is super ******* shady
Yeah - I just wanna say,
Don't hate on AsG - they are a good bunch of guys that stuck up for their clan mate.
I'm sure you would all do the same. Its easy for them to defend him as they are his friends and until now - no one was sure - no one had the right evidence.. so don't hate AsG. AsG are still a talented clan that represents their state well..
The blueprints of how a player spams his hotkeys is like everyone's fingerprints - unique. His hotkey blue prints being exactly the same as accused smurfer is probably the most conclusive evidence against him thus far.
so I can start building my clan's rep back up again and move on.
Seeing as there's no evidence of other asg members being in on this incident, I don't think you have too much to worry about with your clan's reputation. When we had the evets situation people seemed to be pretty understanding and I imagine it will be the same here. People just want to get to the bottom of this.
The more problematic ramifications are that this will tarnish our clan's reputation, even if Kice is not a representative sample of all of us it will still paint us in a damaging light when people run into us on ladder.
I disagree mate. Just because one apple is bad (In our case Evets), doesn't mean your reputation is lost. I'm sure SPR can say the same with that dude who hacked, Meany or something. Both of our clans are still standing, going strong, both clans were vocal when both of our members were accused of hacking (I certainly as hell was vocal). However, most people are far more mature and smart enough to realize just because there was a bad apple, doesn't apply to the entire clan. This is Starcraft 2 SEA, not call of duty with preb 12 year olds.
Addressing the point of evidence, I think the cat is out of the bag. He's guilty in my books. SC2gears OP.

Given the amount of vitriol that resulted from this in comparison to other incidents, it did have me worried. Obviously this community is much more forgiving than a shithole like /r/Starcraft, but people have a funny way of associating a whole group of people because of the actions of an individual.
I do agree that we're likely not to have any repercussions to AsG specifically.
If I let my friend play my account today - is that frowned upon? Do other people let people play their accounts? Of course not in tournaments or to boost my stats. I just laddered with my friend today swapping game by game for fun. Bad or good? He's someone who doesn't own Starcraft 2 for himself.

I can vouch that FaDe was not affected at all by the EvetS scandal. EvetS was / is a buddy of mine very friendly guy (first person I cast with) and a lot of people were hurt by the realization when he admitted to it, but no one blamed the clan. Enough water has gone under the bridge for him to even come along and provide evidence in the hacker thread and not feel threatened by our community which of course will never lash out at someone for legitimately helping.
FaDe is still a very close knit and strong pillar of SEA. As long as the leadership and members remain as high calibur as you are on this forum, and continue to participate in SEA tournaments and events AsG will continue to be as well.

It's due to it being a tournament setting. No one wants a tournament tarnished by hackers/smurfers/etc. It wasn't an attack on Chobo or anything, but rather ensuring that the Masters Cup and other tournaments run by sc2sea are kept clean and hacker free.

I wouldn't exactly trust Kayhan's opinion. Kayhan was not very good.
He was SEA low GM. Maybe he wasn't very good but he certainly wasn't a guy who would lie so he wouldn't have to pay. He paid me for multiple hours. I'm sure he didn't lie about himself beating Chobo.

Even if he did beat CHobo in one of the prac games for whatever reason (I can see a student that is high masters/low gm beating their coach) it still doesn't excuse him for not paying and being a complete dick to everyone on ladder and CHobo himself.
