Tournament Eligibility:
You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.

Battle.net chat channel: "sc2seaBSG"

Rules

• You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
• You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
• You must play your main ladder race throughout tournament.
• The only race switch allowed is to and you may not switch again.
• Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
• Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
• Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
• Disconnects: If a player disconnects, the game must be replayed. If a player disconnects for a second time, his opponent will be awarded a free-win. A win may also be awarded if the player that disconnected was significantly behind at the time of disconnection. Contact an admin if you would like your game/replay reviewed.
• Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
• Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
• Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
• Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and publicly shamed.

2. Round of 32 bo1 on GSL Calm Before the Strom
3. Round of 16 bo1 on MLG Metalopolis (1.3)
4. Quarter Finals bo3 on Ohana LE
5. Semi Finals bo3 on GSL Dual Sight
6. Grand Final bo5 on GSL Daybreak
For finals rounds that are best of 3 or 5, loser of previous game may pick any map from GSL or MLG as per the following list

I just want to make everyone aware that yes i was in Platinum only 2 weeks ago, however i have been demoted and not due to mass quitting. It seems i placed too highly. Announcing it now so it doesn't seem like i'm hiding anything. glgl to all players.

Everyone is thoroughly investigated to judge whether or not they are legitimately BSG level.
Being in platinum so recently is going to be a problem for you here and I'd suggest sticking to the GPD tournament until your ladder ranking has stabilised in gold to prevent any hassles.

I'd let you play Hellfyre - but only because I've seen you play

Srsly, Leagues only change when your MMR has significantly stablised in a league - so my suggestion is to let him play, but you will have to check some of the matches to see if the games have been thrown or mass quit.. I think Hellfyre, if you play - be prepared not to be invited to the BSG Cup or dq'd mid tournament if you demonstrate that your skill level is far above the rest of the field. This is BSG.. you are still recently Plat..

BUT it's all down to AsylumOfSouls - his tournament, his call..

It's fine if i'm not eligible, i just wasn't sure from his post. I'm cool with it.

Also i'm fine with the possibility of being dq'd halfway through if i'm too good, but i keep getting dominated in GPD so i'd prefer to take it down a peg now that i've fallen from the shiny leagues.

I am going to ignore your troll there chaddy. Like a true gentleman.

My post was vague on purpose since I have no idea of your match history or anything without logging onto sc2 and wanted to make it your decision. You're eligible to play if you're legitimately gold like everyone else, a couple of weeks of 1v1 match history can make the call fairly obvious so if you've been active, it won't be a problem.

Everyone gets checked out thoroughly before and throughout the tournament so if people aren't eligible they get cut pretty decisively.
Since you were so manner and up front about it already, I'm sure you'll be fine

i think i've probably played a dozen games since being demoted, and have won probably two thirds of them. However i am still getting matched up against silvers and gold players so my mmr is still low.

I will play, but I will also pull myself out if results deem that i am of a higher level.

Yes and yes
Nah, you can still play the BSG Open tonight if you want, one week's grace for being active on ladder is the standard rule for regulars.

PS. It's about time you got promoted.

1 weeks grace seems ok since I play only really on the weekends lol, and my laddering time gets eaten into the further I get into these tournaments
