Funday 3 : FFA Air Only and FFA Ground Only

Rules :
Same as before in Season 1 and 2

Air FFA means only AIR units are allowed other than workers;
Protoss : Tempest, Oracles, Voids, Carriers, Phoenixs, Prism, Observers
Terran : Vikings (not allowed to land!), BCs, Ravens, Medivacs
Zerg : Overlords and overseers, Mutas, Corrupters, Broodlords, Vipers

NOTE :
* 1 queen per hatch and strictly for injects and creep spread (if queen accidentally attacks, is fine, but not allowed intentionally to attack as part of army etc)

Ground FFA means only GROUND units are allowed :
Terran : Vikings and medivacs are strictly disallowed
Zerg : Overlords cannot be used as transport

NOTE :
* Observers and ravens can be built BUT only used as detection
* NO buildings should be flying for more than a minute; do not troll hide your flying buildings at a corner etc (yes I'm looking at the terrans)


Other important information :

• There will be a sudden death condition at some point of time. Players who have not been eliminated by the 45th minute mark (real time), will be told what it will be and when.
  
• No Secret Alliances are allowed. This is FFA afterall. All Chats should be in ALL chats.
  
• However temporary alliances are allowed. You can only discuss/negiotiate/make them in game (using general game chat so that everyone is in the know). Such alliances after being negiotiated should last only for approximately 5 minutes. They should not last the whole game.

As 3 hours as been dedicated for this, for the 3rd hour or after the 2 special FFAs, we might attempt some LOTV team games, Archon mode or LOTV FFA as well so if you cant join us for the first hour, make plans to join us later

Air Only FFA in a nutshell

Everyone seemed to start off standard and being friendly. However Juno soon revealed he is actually the neighbour you love to hate :

Poor Probe soon discovered that not having ground units made dealing with that all too difficult.
Turns out that everyone is otherwise so gentlemanly.

Fun facts :
Nicky made 2 swarmhosts by accident; Schnitzel said they had to die.
Juno had the best economy of 5 bases earliest but chose to tap out first.
Schnitzel made the fewest number of static defences. A total of only 7 cannons... compared to

The game went to Sudden Death Mode and both Slayer and Probe secured their place as victors in the Air Only FFA.

Ground Only FFA in a nutshell

The Ground only FFA had for the past 2 seasons been the less exciting of the 2 with standoffs etc. But this season, it turned out to the more interesting of the 2.
Started off innocently with Probe asking how many zergs and how many were opening 14/14. Even though I tried to be helpful, Schnitzel failed to get the hint why 3 zergs would soon be 2.

He eventually managed to somehow survive by relocating himself.

A mistake by Probe puzzled Schnitzel who said that Eddie was the strongest when he meant Infected. However, it also showed the manly relationships in the game.

Slayer and Probe both had the biggest armies with standoffs and nukes. Meanwhile Schnitzel quietly managed to somehow mass some swarmhosts. Realizing that swarmhosts could complicate matters, Probe proposed an alliance with Slayer.... the 2 mega powers. Probe hit first with a small army to weaken schnitzel and told slayer where he was. Slayer's super power army went to destroy the swarmhosts and his base but realized too late! that he was about to be double crossed.

Slayer loses his army but somehow stays alive at the end till Sudden death condition occurs. However having to hold not one but both towers proved difficult. Slayer appeared to be able to do so as Probe grappled with how to secure both towers. Then Slayer makes a mistake allowing Probe to secure both towers .
So Probe wins with Slayer being the runner up.
