We'll have a full announcement next week, but for now, let's just say that there will be a new 'ladder' system introduced!

Please read the rules if this is your first time entering

Tournament Eligibility:
You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.
Anyone found to be smurfing will be added to the BSG Hall of Shame so everyone can be aware of their shameful acts.

Battle.net group: "sc2seaBSG"

Rules

You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
You must play your main 1v1 ladder race throughout tournament.
Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
Disconnects: If a player disconnects, use the 'Resume from Replay' feature to continue the game. If the player has gone offline completely, inform an admin and wait 10 minutes for them to return.
Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and added to the Hall of Shame.

1. Round of 32 bo1 on Neo Planet S LE
2. Round of 16 bo1 on Korhal Sky Island LE
3. Quarter Finals bo3 on Newkirk Precinct TE
4. Semi Finals bo3 on Whirlwind LE
5. Grand Final bo5 on Red City LE

For finals rounds that are best of 3 or 5, loser of previous game may pick any map from the following list. Maps may be repeated as many times as players wish.

Hey-o. This would be my first tournament hopefully. I was wondering, because im in Australia (townsville) my saturday is the 13th. Because this is the SEA server is saturday the 14th? This would make it sunday. Sorry im kinda new here.

The date typo has been fixed. I was pretty out of it and used to reading calendars in a SMTWTFS format not my computers MTWTFSS format :P

Also, this is my first comp, so how do i know who my opponent is? Also do I need heart of the swarm, because I only have wol. (I could spawn anyway).

Hey Dynasty i did reply to your pm but in case you see this first. You are not aloud to play in the BSG Open with Wings of Liberty.
Yes Spawning is a thing but to play in the Tournament you need Heart of the Swarm.
