Tonight's Code S was a 3 way battle between Yoda, Gumiho and Hyun after Rain's shocking and sudden withdrawal from the tournament. A scheduling conflict between his commitments and his last minute decision to go to MLG has left the GSL without one of the star Kespa players.
He'll receive 4th place in the group and be forced to compete back through code A, running the risk of elimination from the tournament if he fails to make it out of the first round.
The new schedule follows this format.

Gom tv's released a statement which can be found here, explaining their frustration at having such little warning from the kespa player, who left it until Oct 29 to notify them he'd be unavailable for his scheduled match. After nearly 2 years of scheduling for players so they can perform in international tournaments the move by Rain has been seen as a slap in the face by the larger foreign community.
Most notably Wolf has released these scathing tweets describing his opinion on the matter.

Gom has since contacted all teams and managers associated with the tournament, for scheduling to minimize the chance of this happening in the future.

I think it's a smart move on Rain's part (and his managers/team). Imagine the headlines when he drops out of Code S to play MLG, wins MLG, and then fights all the way back up to win GSL. They will call him the Rainmaker, and he will be, for that month, regarded as the best player ever.

IMO, Rain's fault for leaving it till the 29th. This is why you don't leave things till the last minute
