Whilst the SCII community is one of the best online communities I have ever been a part of I must say I am still one of the most BM players I know. At first I thought it was funny, but I really am trying to keep composure when playing these days, not only out of respect for the other player but to appreciate that this is indeed a game and getting better involves losing and learning from your mistakes. I think most of the frustration comes from losing because of little mistakes and it is indeed often the greatest hindrance to improvement - above and beyond watching and playing the game.
I guess players should keep this in mind even if they don't care about the community. It's for their own improvement.
I dont usually get bm on SEA so I was stoked when this happened. A protoss player was doing a 4 gate stargate push. I saw the quick double gas and then I also scouted the 4 gates with my intial scv so I was scouting around for proxies and found his stargate. Allin scouted and easily defended. Proceeds to say !@#$ ureself lucky %^&*. Of course I follow up chat after the game to try and get more rage.
You: That wasn't luck when i saw your gas timing
tbhApoc has reconnected.
You: I knew to check for proxies
tbhApoc: sur esure
ure so por
pro
u aw my gas timing
dickehad
*** ureself pls
u r !@#$
Not as epic as NA rage but the best I've got here on SEA in ages.
My favourite memory of being BM'd on the SEA server was from a fellow zerg. He went pure hydra ling against muta ling bane, eventually won through just having a stupid amount of bases compared to him (he had two base, and dropped about 6-7 spores at each one and 4-5 spines at his natural). Complained that I was a 'noskillmutafag' because i never transitioned...he never made an infestation pit and was on 2base .
The closest I am to BM is 6pooling people, although I will respond to someone bming me, because I find it hilarious.
I battle with BM issues on a daily basis on ladder I hate it though. If someone cheeses me then the urge to BM them is almost overwhelming, it takes a lot of willpower to GG out without saying anything, though I'm getting better at it & as a caster it makes you look bad in the eyes of the community.
At the end of the day many people fail to realize that there is another person at the other end of the BM who has feelings too! It's hard to feel empathy for someone who is anonymous to you, which is the biggest problem of the Internetz, I think .
It's a vicious circle that must be broken: Often if someone BMs you, you feel like you have the right to BM back, though if people want a nicer community then it's better to just "GG WP" and treat them nicely :P I quite often find the person and apologize after BMing them, many are nice people and take the apology. People should try their best to apologize after BM, it really makes a difference.
Chad: Yeah, I'm bored to death right now. I have a lot to say, man! lol

i bm if I'm playing an off race like T cause im like below bronze league Wood league if you will on T but generally a nice guy when im playing Z as for getting BM'd not really people are quite quiet on the Ladder i find you get your glhf's and gg's and thats about it
My friend even filmed it, I lost my shit at a cannon rush and was subsequently beaten pretty profoundly. I've learned to quell my rage, but it still lingers inside of me. Every loss a nerve twinges a bit. But it's the nature of the beast, I'm looking more towards improvement now.

Oh wow what? It seems everybody has some really tame experiences of SEA.. I've had all sorts of BM! Before my name was IXLives I was known as Kerrigan, and before that www.com.au which has invited some interesting conversation.
I've had people hit on me (Kerrigan), had people literally swear non stop through an entire game starting with the first baneling bust (oh this homo build..). Also had people refuse to talk to me because the "don't talk to websites" (www.com.au).
I have to say though, SC2 is WAY more mannered in general than sc1 was, hidden away deep in some of the darker corners of battle.net 1.0 scary people lurked. Nothing will ever live up to the standard of cod/halo 3 on xbox live though.
I just played against the most bm player I've ever met haha. AsGGriefer. I wonder if it ruins the reputation of his clan? :O. Maybe I should post the replay to the clan leader LOL. No... Too far... But I was in a good mood when I was playing, then I lost horribly and the bm just added to the pain. D:

pretty sure he left AsG a while back, send me or sedz the replay though and we'll have a word to him if it's over the line

Seem anally frustrated bro, I suggest listening to the sounds of the rainforest whilst you play.
I dont understand people's problem with it, i love the rage/BM. I love receiving it and I dish it out when i feel it needs to be done. I'm a terrible TERRIBLE player but getting owned 3 times in a row by toss ghey just recently forced me to say to the last guy "I'm sure your're a great guy, but go f**k yourself". To me it's not even bad, I know he would of been laughing his ass off at my rage, it probably made his day. Anyone who would get hurt by such things needs a spoonful of concrete in their morning coffee.
I don't normally glhf...because i honestly don't care about their luck or if they have fun, i just wanna play, i don't see anything 'bad mannered' about it...i might just say "u2". Sometimes i don't gg due it not actually being a good game. If i lose to a guy who does something really nice or who legit rapes me i will say something like..."brutal...gg" or "that blahblah was really nice....gg".
this is me all over...but with male genitalia and a caveman beard....
