Hey all, you might have noticed that the Peepmode maps were recently removed from SEA, apparently because they weren't being played.

At VB we used to use these pretty regularly for training, and I suspect other clans did too.

If you miss these maps, please tell the author that you'd like to play them on SEA in the TL thead here.

If you're not aware what Peepmode is, it's similar to the old Obs maps, but with a lot more bells & whistles. Basically it's a normal map where you can take turns playing while others observe - great for training.

Well, from reading the change log just now, I might have found out why it kicks people sometimes:

Yeah I sent the dev a message at the start of the month about it on TL and he just sent back basically no.

I think he might have had trouble with the guy who was uploading it. I hope it's not because he realised we had access to NA so if we play there the map would be higher on the list.

He told me that the maps were inactive for weeks at a time having zero hours played on them.

I offered to upload them or lend my account. but he didn't budge.

As someone who has published a map, i don't understand why he couldn't just leave them up. I doubt he has so many maps on SEA that he's out of publish space.

i also have no idea where he was finding out how many ' hours played' his map had.

Slugs used the peepmodes sometimes, if we only had a few players on for training nights.

I'd play small peepmodes with 3-5 friends on a regular basis. Infact up until a month ago it was a running weekly event for us where we would play on Saturdays for hours.

yeah but he could just leave the current versions and leave any bugs and such? Then we would just be complaining about how it was out of date instead of how it was gone. He would also look like less of an asshole, whereas now he is a total asshole.

What?, I convinced him last time to leave the maps up for everyone, why did he have to take them away for the second time...

Edit: oh wait, it seems he is putting them back up, nevermind then xD
