In light of the recent matches between MvP and Goswser as well as my experiences on the ladder, I have realised that the zerg play style has morphed into something that looks unbeatable in the terran's eyes. Rather than belittle zerg and its players (as the current trend falls) I ask you, the community to help provide solutions and open eyes that may be shut.
I want to start the discussion with the second game in the Iron Squid series between Goswser and MvP.
In the second game Goswser goes for an incredibly early 10 minutes 20+ roach drop on the terran's base. Obviously as mech MvP did not stand the slightest chance, however I recently faced a similar strategy as terran on the ladder, i was bio at the time and to counter the zerg just threw in a few baelings, I was decimated almost immediately even though my defensive position was quite strong. Please help me and all terran players struggling against this strategy with reasonable and intellegent answers, none of this "build more tanks earlier", nonsense. There are a few defining moments of the ZvT game agaisnt this strat that need addressing.
1. Zerg is able to take early 3 base by either taking early map control and building early roach when terran moves out or building roach early and taking all map control early game. This move also limits any medivac harrass as the zerg is able to spread creep and have lots of roaches to defend by the time medivacs move out.
2. I have been hearing scouting as a suggestion and in return I ask you what is there to scout? You know he has roach in small numbers but this is no indication of drop play, obviously he has overlords. The biggest scouting issue is that usually all his roach will be made as soon as hes researched sacks for the overlords.
3. Unit composition, terran just does not have the units to deal with a 20+ roach baeling drop at 10 minutes, normally zerg units are easily dispatched because of defensive advantage however this play eliminates all such advantage.
4. Once the attack has begun zerg is able to still swarm units either to help with the assult or to defend.
I also want to address the amazing creep spreading techniques by Goswser in order to help me to stop feeling as if TvZ has been the same for so long and now zerg has realised that they have the potential to do much more than the terran to press their advantage. I would be fine with this if the terran had similar techniques to hinder the zerg, however it feels as if all of terrans moves are transparent.
I look forward to seeing advice, solutions and encouragement go Terran!
Thanks!

Someone recently posted an angry message to the Zerg race stating that it was "OP" I decided to reply unfortunately the message was deleted so I though I better post it here =D.
Your joining thousands of others in saying that you think Zerg is OP when in reality if Zerg play standard, which are the strategies you have described you have as much of a chance of beating him as he has at beating you. You just have to remember. Every time Zerg makes an attacking unit in the early game, that's 1 less drone and much less income he is acquiring for the late game, I'm a high level diamond Terran and I know that if I don't harass and force the Zerg to make units that I will lose every single time.
You also have to remember that Zerg are strongest at certain points in the game, the strongest point is when all of his tech aligns to finish and he pops out all of his teir 3 units at once, usually catching the opponent off guard. However the longer you can delay this tech push the more likely you are to defend it for these reasons.
1. Zerg tech takes a very very long time, if he can't tech up he is at a huge disadvantage because at the time that he needs to he just won't be able to.
2. Your units with constant upgrades are much more durable than the Zergs, if you poke in with sentries and forcefields WITHOUT over commiting you WILL come out on top, you may not win right there and then but you have slowed down the Zerg tech by killing off the units he HAS to throw at you to defend his base. You will also grow your army for late game(as long as you don't lose too many units).
As a Protoss it takes time to max out, why would you not kill off Zergs units whilst this process is taking place, instead of waiting seize the opportunity to take control, deal a little bit of damage and back off, it all adds up.
3. Zerg players at our level are used to having things done their way, they are used to batting off small warp- ins or drops, they know they have to restrict your expansions so that you focus on macroing what you have and trying to take extra bases RATHER than harass.
The sad thing about Protoss and Terran is that Zerg are still able to find new ways to take map control and put pressure on their opposing players, where as Protoss and Terran are almost stuck with what they have, I'm not going to give up however there must still be things undiscovered, just keep practicing and eventually you will counter anything and everything the Zerg throws at you!.
