Okay so for my second post I wanna look into this opening a bit more. Now I usually open Roach roach/hydra vs protoss with early speed and upgrades but I've been trying to look into lings infester then back teching to roach if they are going gateway heavy.
Ran into abit of a snag vs blink stalker builds though. Opening lings doesn't seem to fair very well? Or give the ability to hold a 3rd? I'm aware that there might be 2 blink stalker timings, The latter one is the one I find difficult. Lings > stlaker on an open map in a perfect world but good toss's don't engage in these situations, they engage in chokes and other annoying positions to get the most out of blink.
So I guess my question is, how do others deal with this style?
Which blink stalker build you having trouble with? forge fe into 5+1? 1 gate FE into 6 +1? 3-gate fast blink? Forge fe into 8(10) gate +2/2? They are all very different. Post replay.

You sure its 3-0? I dont think 3-0 blink stalkers hit very early.. At most 2-0.. it can held of with a bullshit tons of +1 lings and roaches. Just sac overlords, determine what build they going, cut drones and make units at an appropriate time..
That's like 15 min, you will be on 4 bases with 10+ infestors by that time.
Earliest push is 5+1, which comes at 9 min with 11 stalkers. This one is countered by good spines and lings.
Probably hardest on zerg is 6+1, which is an 11 min push. You can squeeze out 3-4 infestors by that time, but timings are so fragile, that if you screw up, u won't have the fungals to stop a 15+ stalker ball.
2/2 push is not around anymore, with so many zerg going fast infestors, but it was very effective vs roach-hydra, because of upgrade advantage and pure brute force of protoss swarm. It hits at 12 mins with small force, but escalates very fast because of 8+ gateways behind it. It's like 4 gate on uber steroids.

Watch this daily Enough said. Ret held it off with good scouting (so drones really early) and held it with slow lings (was a mistake.. still worked) and speed +1 roaches. And he did it versus Naniwa, winning this grand finals match for the European qualifiers for Blizzcon, winning himself USD$4,000 and an all expense paid trip to Anaheim ^^
As a "more often than not" protoss player, who uses blink regularly against lower league zergs, i have to agree with the posts before me. Scouting is your biggest defense here. Sacking an overlord at 6.30 - 7 and scouting the front to see the sentry count are big tools to not only see whether blink is a factor but also what sort of push it is.
I would perhaps suggest in a heavy ling / roach response, cutting a roach or two and trying to push for an early +2 attack on those lings but that has been something i have been playing with when i roll random and i'm not too sure yet on the full repercussions of infestor timings if you do this.
