ok one thread, but two separate questions. i was wondering if anyone ever holds 2v2 tournaments? 2v2's are always fun to watch and play.

2nd question was what happens when you reach Diamond League? do you automatically get invited to Blizzard sponsored tournies? do they mail anything out to you for congratulations?

Nothing happens when u get to diamond league. Its just diamond league. Anybody with a decent RTS brain and the willingness to practice will get there. Blizzard also RARELY sponsors tournaments... I only remember them sponsoring Blizzcon tourneys..

As for 2v2 tourneys, sc2sea once held 2v2s tournaments but the turnout werent very high so it was cancelled.

Blizzard sponsors blizzcon which they probably actually make money off of, because they charge $150 a ticket and $50 to watch online for 4 days or 2 worth of content i can't remember. Makes gsl and nasl look cheap as chips.

Also theres master league which is one up from diamond which is top 2% and just recently theres grand master league which is apparently the top 200 people on the server if you do get into grand master it does say that you may get invited to tournaments.

Blizzard lose money from Blizzcon
There has been no talk about any tourneys that are Grandmaster based.

1) No. No one hosts 2v2 tourneys because of #2
2) 2v2s are not fun to watch or play
3) Nothing happens when you enter diamond league it just means you're the worst of the 'competitive' type players
4) You might get a certificate for some Blizzard events, I'm not sure - you won't win any though so don't worry about it
5) Blizzard sponsored tourneys happen occasionally but they will only concern Grandmaster League level players, but you are welcome to watch them

look, nobody's perfect. we all can't be these 6'6 blond haired blue eyed supermen. i'm ABC and i just don't have the genetics to compete in real sports. i just want something to compete in.

deL usually trolls but i totally agree with every single point he said this time.
