Arena Internet Cafe's previous tournaments (#1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6)

Welly welly well. If it isn't my old mates over at sc2sea.com. After quite literally years, we're back, and going to be hosting another StarCraft II tournament.

Information

Date: Sunday, September 20, tournament will start at 11am, doors will be open from ~10am for setup/warm up etc
Location: Arena Internet Cafe, 36-48 Wright Street, Adelaide SA 5000 (in Chinatown, above the restaurant 'Taste')

Entry fee: $15 (spectating is free of course)

There are no league restrictions, players of any skill can join.

The tournament will be played on the South East Asian server.

Tournament format: Double Elimination, all Best of 3 (2x Bo3 for grand final)

The map pool will be: (2) Bridgehead
(2) Coda
(2) Dash and Terminal
(2) Moonlight Madness
(2) Terraform
(4) Cactus Valley
(4) Iron Fortress

Each player will veto one map from the map pool and then flip a coin/rock paper scissor/decide amongst themselves for first map choice. Loser of each game picks the next map.

Prizes
1st place: $100
2nd place: TBA (maybe something, I don't know yet)


Other information

First and foremost, this tournament will be the first SC2 tournament at the new Arena Internet Cafe, now located in Chinatown. It is, in my opinion, better than the Rundle Street location by leaps and bounds.

Players will be allowed to bring their own equipment (mouse, mousepad, keyboard, headset etc). The computers are more than capable of running StarCraft II at it's highest settings.

There will be at least 20 PCs dedicated to running the tournament, players will need to report their results immediately once they are finished and they will be told to either pack up for someone else to use the PC or to stay to play another game. We are aiming for as little downtime as possible, so this is imperative to the smooth running of the tournament.
