Amateur just means not proffesional/not for money. It doesn't have anything to do with skill
Hey guys, sorry about the confusion.
But we will be renaming the tournament in future. As for right now, let's just say put it as OSAL for lack of a better name. Hope we didn't offend anybody because of the "Amateur vs Pro" thingy.
There has been a slight change to the tournament format:
1) Code S
6 players will be categorised in a separate group known as Code S. Players in this group mostly consist of the Diamond players and a few from Platinum. Code S will be a Round Robin and the top 2 players with the most points will battle it out in the Code S finals.
2) Code A
The rest will be under Code A and will proceed with the tournament as per normal i.e. the Group Stage followed by the Upper and Lower Brackets. Code A players will get to experience the full length of the tournament so be prepared for the road to finals is much longer.
Guys please check the binary beast again, there were certain changes made just now. Code S is now a normal 8-man Group Stage Double Elim format compe. Code A is still 16-man, but there are some changes to the participants. Please do see through them extensively and make sure you know which league you are placed in. If not, we'll see all of you tomorrow at noon online!
