For the past few years, I've been trading stocks and indices. I've been mostly successful, using quantitive methods mostly. However, I've noticed trading concepts really carry across to starcraft well!
I'll find some specific examples later, but mostly it's problems of optimisation, and expected return! Would love to go over the maths with some of you awesome theory crafters
Starcraft is a game of economy... a lot of the same concepts that apply to economics in general can be applied (in some sense) to starcraft.
Things like investing for future returns (expanding, making addons for terran structures, etc.) and sunk costs in particular have been talked about a lot at various times.
