The Fusion Slugs are holding their second ever internal tournament and we are planning to stream and cast as many of the games as possible to give something back to this great community!

Format
Two Tiers, 12 players per tier
Each Tier split into 4 x 3 player groups
Best of 3, Round Robin, ranked at end by match wins, then map score.

Group Ranks give seeing into Double Elimination Bracket.
Tier 1 Group winners play off in GSL Style Best of 3s (A v D, B v C, Winners playoff)
Winner of final game qualifiers for winners bracket final

Bracket play is Best of 3, except Winner and Loser Bracket finals and Grand Final (All Best of 5)

Maps
Map Pool: WCS Antiga Shipyard, WCS Cloud Kingdom LE, WCS Daybreak, ESV Khaydaria, ESV Muspelheim, TPW Odyssey, WCS Ohana
Each round, a player can have 1 veto. (chosen before games start, may obstain)
Maps cannot be replayed in one round.
Group play, set maps.
Bracket play, starting map set, losers choice.

The grand final of the Fusion Slug Internal Cup will be a TvT affair and will be played tonight!

After a long tournament we have our Winners Bracket champion Qwerty, who managed to beat players such as Captain, BenAD, Esque, HeGEmOni and Jhedjuka. He just needs to win one best of 7 to take out the tournament.

His opponent is Captain, who narrowly lost to Qwerty in the winners bracket 2-1, which is why he finds himself the Losers Bracket Champion. On his way there Captain defeated HeGEmOni, ShadowMamba, Jhedjuka, moofang and BenAD.

Both of these players are currently Masters Level, and were both GM at last season.

If your sick of seeing PvZ, PvP and ZvZ, tune in later tonight to the Fusion Slug Internal Cup Final. We will be starting in the next 30mins to an hour, I will update the thread when we have a more fixed time.

We had a mini end of the world party, with Captain dropping, then our caster Zom joking about the end of the world and having his net die as well! But we are back into Game 3, currently at 1-1!

Huge congratulations to Qwerty who managed to take down Captain 3-1 in the best of 5 and win the Fusion Slug Internal Cup. It wasnt without drama with a 2nd disconnect from Captain, handing Qwerty game 2.

Whilst Captain showed amazing macro and tank positioning all series long, Qwerty found chinks in the armour with some interesting early timings and got the wins he needed.

Big thankyou to both of them and a huge thanks to Zomgrofl for casting. Thankyou to anyone who watched the final, it was very entertaining and a great way to end the year for the Fusion Slugs.

Greatly played by captain! was outplaying me on every corner! Resorted to weird timings and all-ins to bring the game's back into my favour! Huge thanks to Ben for all the hard work he has been putting into the tournament over the past few months! all in all its been great fun to play! and great fun to watch!
