After using the keyboard for roughly three days now, I've started to get a feel for it, and I quite like the keyboard overall. But there is one annoying little issue that I haven't been able to deal with, and I'm wondering if anyone is having the same issue with the same keyboard.
I'm thinking it's probably a design fault, but to get the left 'Alt' key to work you need to press down really hard on the left side of the key before it registers anything.
Now, for clarification, I hadn't attempted to change keycaps for this key what so ever. I was using it a little bit to 'Alt+Tab' out of games and such, so I wasn't hardcore thrashing it or anything like that. The one 'Alt' key just seemed to stop working the day after I got it.
Mind you, the other one works perfectly fine. I did take the caps of both this morning to see if there was any difference, and to my surprise, the switch on the near working 'Alt' key is actually up side down in comparison to the other switches.
I just read that page, and yea, other people are obviously noticing, but no one said anything about struggling with their 'Alt' key. I'm wondering if it was just a one off fault and if I should send it back. I'm not entirely sure if I got a warranty though.
I have the same keyboard in the mini (the ones you could see on stream at cologne). I've not noticed a problem with anything. Only thing that concerns me is the fragility of the plug for the cable into the board. I plan on just epoxying that in place though.
Can always take it back where you got it from and see what they say about it.
try replacing it with another keycap (like a arrow or wasd that comes with it) and see if you still struggle to press it, it could just be a shitty keycap since they do feel really cheep. might be a gap inbetween but if it works it shouldn't matter.
