I thought I would change it up a bit this month and instead of doing a card review I will be taking a look at Watchdogs. Watchdogs was tremendously hyped before release, advertisements were plastered on bus stops, billboards and were spammed on twitch.tv/YouTube. Since this game came bundled with the NVIDIA GTX 700 line of graphics cards I decided to give this game a look and review it.

Initial thoughts

The graphics are impressive. The game looks really detailed on my GTX 780. But in... [Read More]

Hi I'm Bard and I recently had the chance to do another graphics card review for our sponsors over at NVIDIA. Today I will be reviewing the Gainward GTX 760 2GB. This is a little different to the review I did last time on my GTX 780 since this card is aimed at gamers with a smaller budget who still want high end graphics. However, for its price, the results as shown below are still impressive.

Because the card is from NVIDIA and Gainward, its chipsets use the full range of software and... [Read More]

Hey all,

This site continually insults me, calling me a lurker, so I thought I would do something about it.

Overall I had a great time casting the Rising star tourney with Insano. The brackets went along incredibly smoothly I can't really think of any issues of the top of my head apart from my own casting! It was quite funny going through the vods and hearing how awkward it was at the beginning. Also big thanks to Duckville for casting on the other stream, I really enjoyed nipping over... [Read More]

Hi everyone! Recently I managed to get my hands on one of the new cards from our sponsors over at NVIDIA and Gainward, the GTX 780 Phantom GLH (Goes like Hell) 3gb. I have had a great time going through the in’s and out’s of the card along with tinkering with all the different settings. So I thought I would share my experience and give a bit of a review on the card!
It’s been a while since I wrote a blog here and a lot has changed! I’m not going to really go into what I’ve been doing the last 6 months since it would be way to long. So here goes! First and foremost I’m now managing the Exile 5 Starcraft divison, while this is pretty old news its proving a constantly new experience for me. I really enjoy managing and I’m starting to think about it the same way as SC2. There are always areas I could improve or do better, the... [Read More]

My EB Expo Experience

This will be extremely long since I’m also combining my “Thoughts and progress” blog into this one, so sorry in advance for the length and walls of text!

Ok so EB Expo was my first interstate LAN that I have attended/qualified for. Previous to this I have played in 2 ARENA lans in Adelaide with okish results. My thoughts going into this event was to not worry about my perfomance and simply to try and compete and have a good time. I definitely achieved this goal!
Alright almost a month has passed since my last blog with a lot happening! Firstly the new season as started and with it new goals. Previously my goals were to get to Korean Masters and finish high in SEA GM. I have achieved both in the previous season so its time for some new ones! In the short term I’m going to go for NA GM, I am going to put all my attention into achieving this goal. However its going to be tough, with around 400ms to the NA server I... [Read More]

Hi everyone!

This will be the first installment of many as I track my progress for the next few months. As most of you will know I have recently joined Exile 5 with the rest of Team Mastermind in order to form their sc2 division. This is actually a great bonus for me as I’ve been working on trying to make a sponsored team for quite some time now! While I am still very excited about now being able to go to events such as ACL, I am also worried about how I am going to improve so that I can... [Read More]

I thought I would share my first ever LAN experience for those who were either weren't there or have never been to a LAN before!

I didn’t have the greatest start to my day. After looking up the brackets and seeing that I had a PvT first (the matchup that I currently cannot win) I felt that I would be happy if I could win 1 lower bracket match. This was my aim for the day!
After missing my train due to locking myself out of my house (I had to scale the drain pipe to get... [Read More]
