aside
Last week saw another lesson with Chobo, and me on top of my game, crushing nerds left right and centre. I joined this lesson by telling my supercoach just how well i was doing, including the % of time i was against opponents a league above me (which was a heap), that i was #1 in my plat division by a good margin and generally really happy with where I was in the game.

I should have known this was a bad idea.

Moving on up: Lesson 2 with AsGChobo

A quick blog entry about my continuing coaching with AsG_Chobo and how I am travelling reaching my goals in relation to starcraft.

Firstly, i booked my second lesson with Chobo, at which time my PC promptly decided it wanted a new PSU (2 months out of warranty, it is almost as if they plan it that way), so $200 and 5 days off sc2, and i am back for my second lesson. Chobo took the rescheduling like a boss, he was so understanding and given that i had... [Read More]

A lot of people know me as the long-winded analyst of the Tier 5 SEACL, but today I am going to write a bit about the new goal I have set for myself. I know there are a lot of blogs (especially after starting a new season) which state they are going to "Play 1 million games a day and never lose again and be GM by the final week of the season". Inevitibly, a lot of these people have the goal, but not the motivation or the plan... [Read More]

Gents,

So with the beginning of season 3 came a slight surprise to me, I was promoted to plat! I figured the land of milk and honey awaited. However, something felt amiss. I had lost my placement game, and the loss didnt hurt as much as the manner in which i lost.

It was a (failed) cannon rush into one base two stargate + zealot. I had crushed the cannon rush and killed 7 pylons + cannons. But then suddenly there was this other threat in the shape of VR pheonix- and i was unable to... [Read More]

Gentlemen,

Since my first blog entry, I have been exceptionally busy. Work chews up too much time (I miss my uni days), I played my first Magic: the Gathering tournament in about 6 years, and have been going out for dinner a bit. Overall, means I haven't played that much Starcraft in the 10 days since my last entry. My match history says I have gone 7-4 in this time, a game a day. I will be getting back into it tomorrow night and all weekend, trying to push my MMR a touch higher so I will... [Read More]
