Hey Guys,

I have just finished the last major re-write of my PhD thesis. Entitled "The Emancipation Paradox: A Critical Study of the Kantian Tradition in Political Philosophy" it examines the dilemma of egalitarian political philosophers in presenting a universal theory of equality (i.e. That everyone is equal, regardless of arbitrary distinctions) but reneging, of sorts, on this theory of equality in implementing practical procedural conceptions of justice. (The Abstract of the thesis is at... [Read More]

Plan:

My goals for the previous week were:

1. Play 10 Games a Day/Night against Real Opponents.
2. Using the Staircase Method: Step 4. I am going to attempt to achieve 5 games in a row vs. real opponents (either in customs or Ladder) where I maintain a spending quota which is of at least Diamond Level.
3. I hope to improve my blink Stalker and Warp prism Micro.[

I was only able to play about 17 games over the period of 6 days (Thanks to Slayer and Legionnaire for playing games... [Read More]

I'm a bad Starcraft player,

I'm not just a bad Starcraft player, I am a terrible starcraft player.

In order to try and improve myself I joined "The Proving Grounds" which is a group for those trying to get into The Sandbox. I guess it is an attempt to prove your motivation to try and get better. I quite like it, it gives me some motivation to even open up Starcraft and play the game.

In addition to joining "The Proving Grounds" I also took up some basic training method developed by... [Read More]

Recapping SEAcraft Weekly

Blog Post
SEAcraft Weekly and SEAcraftTV is something that I have been thinking about ever since I joined the SEA community. Back then we had a number of weekly tournaments and there wasn’t really room for another, so I put it on hold, in the back of my mind.

Earlier this year, I failed utmost at trying to put together a team league like the old SEACL . This was because of both internal and external factors. The changes to ladder meant that there was a dearth in the number of BSG players... [Read More]

Call to Arms: Improving our profile

Recently in the chatbox there have been a number of discussions regarding the assumed lowly status of SEA within the Starcraft community. There are of course a number of reasons for this which I do not want to explore. There is one reason that I think we can fix with relative ease, given time and effort.

One of the reasons that SEA may be looked down upon by other communities is our apparent lack of action. It doesn't seem that much happens down here. I think this is because we don't or... [Read More]

Hi Guys,

Im Philosopher. Those in mGG will already know me, being a member of their clan and all. Others may know me from BSG or other tournaments that Ai enter and inevitably fail at. some may know me from my noobish questions in the chatbox. worst of all, some may know me from the ladder...This is mostly directed at those who may have met me on the ladder, but I put this out to the community as a whole.

Im writing this because, as most in mGG and those who hang around the mGG channel on... [Read More]
