ACL Brisbane Groups Prediction.

Original post: http://slcn.pro/2014/05/acl-bne-predictions/

As we all know ACL Brisbane is coming up very soon! With the groups being announced I thought I'd do a little analysis on them and my predictions for the group stage. Given that it is rather unknown who will be attending the open bracket, I will leave out the x-factor of who will come through for this analysis.

Group ZvZ (A)

PiG iZerg

Law iZerg

NXZ iZerg

Eros iZerg

1. PiG is a man that needs no introduction! Whilst he is favourite... [Read More]

Quitting as a player

Hey all, this is something I've been thinking about for a long time and it feels good to finally get it off my chest, but I will be stepping down as a competitive player and moving into casting/management for SLCN.

Unfortunately I got quite sick this year after AVcon and found out I was unable to attend ACL sydney, this put a huge blow to my motivation as I need something to strive for. I tried to focus on online tournaments instead, but TPG really screwed me over in a lot of tournaments,... [Read More]

ACL Melb: Petrify POV (thanks fenner)

Okay so firstly this blog is totally 100% a ripoff of fenner's because I found it a really really cool read! Secondly, I've just had a 12 hour day at uni so please go easy if this is a total ramble or just really poorly written!

Pre-Melbourne
I wrote a blog a few months before ACL about how I was going to step up my practice hardcore in the lead up to this event because I wanted to do really well. Despite the fact I didn't achieve the specific goals that I wanted to, I was extremely pleased... [Read More]

#dedication? More like #fakepet.

Calling out #fakepet

The title of 'real Pet' sits with me, after Petraeus shamefully lost 2-0 to me in our last battle for the title. Now recent developments have put us both into the same group at ACL Melbourne. I couldn't be happier having #fakepet in my group.

It doesn't matter how much #dedication #fakepet has, he will never take the title back off me. My zvz is too good for fake pet to even take a map off me anymore. He has no chance. Thus, I propose that whoever wins in our group stage... [Read More]

Reflection, Goals and Practice

Around January I posted a blog after I returned from a long holiday which basically stated that my goal for the year was to win a tournament. Since then, a lot has changed, and while I haven't reached that goal, it's still my major drive.

The biggest change for me since then was joining and forming Team Silicon Sports. Despite an early hiccup with Rival quitting starcraft, I could not be more happy with how this team is headed. We have picked up Kez, Stoicwilly and Pezz since then, with all of... [Read More]

This is my first blog, I am writing this more for myself than anyone else as I need to put some words down from my mind.

I recently just returned from a 2 month holiday (binge) in Europe, which was incredible, however this is a Starcraft website so I wont bore you with my real life adventures.

A few months before I left to Europe I decided to play in some SEA tournaments for the first time, after spending a long and lonely time laddering on NA and playing in Playhems. I had some pretty good... [Read More]
