hey guys i just have a quick question for a build order for protoss in bronze league
its the 3 gate robo tech in to colossi. i have been using it more and have been able to win a lot of matches with it against teran but have not got matched up yet against protoss of zerg and i was just curious will it work if i adjust to the circumstances of the game?

very true i have found out that is very safe of a build to go especially in bronze

as you get better your builds will get more economical and u shall adjust for timings its part of the experience, if you are struggling and really can't get your head around an issue thats the time to put up replays and ask for help on that way you counter. just asking if it will work if u adjust to the circumstances is verrrrrrrrrry vague which i'd refer to with a could do

iam not struggling with the build i was just wondering more about the timing of the build if it would be able to take on zerg or protoss. that's what i was meaning depending on what the other player goes sorry for not putting more of a better explanation. But i have found out with this build it is a really safe build to go with in bronze league. I have been able to adjust with it as needed so far and as you said the more experience you get the better i will know the timings for different things and that is the big thing that i have noticed i need to work on. But when i do get that right timing it does work out for me and its helped me improve alot.

yes, good build for lower leagues, safe and strong enough that it will work in gold againced all races no worries, but I would suggest that one you hit gold learn a build for each match up and go for longer macro games

The main thing you need to do to get out of bronze is to improve your mechanical skill so when you do a build you can hit the timings of it.

yes it will work againced all races, how high of a league it will work to till will come down to mechanical skill, also another note, just because it may work in higher leagues dosn't mean you should use it in higher leauges, you can uses it in pvp all you want, but at high silver or low gold you want to learn different builds suited to the medigame

yea that's my big thing is hitting the timing and i notice sticking the the one build helped more instead of trying to memorize bunch of builds in bronze league wasn't really helping me. The only thing that it came down to was when do i need to push and not hesitate to do so. But thanks for you help i really appreciate it

In my opinion, some of the things that these people are suggesting are a bit too advanced for bronze (watching replays an adjusting for timings and such. To my understanding that's stuff like if you're opponent is doing this at such timing, what can you adjust to your build to best exploit it?).

3 gate robo can work in all match ups. there's not a lot of adjustment you need to make with it. I used to 3 gate expo in all match ups (except PvP) up until diamond when i started looking for more economical builds (because 1/1/1 back then was bullshit).

At your level, focusing on what you're doing is better.

PvP, you can go 1 gate -> robo -> 2 gate and be safe against absolutely everything (except proxy2 gate but you need to scout for that). units out of gateway should be zealot -> stalker -> sentry

just focus on your mechanics for now (using hotkeys and control groups etc.) and focus on macro (constant probe production using all your chronoboost not floating money etc.)
for the build you use a general rule of thumb is 3 production buildings and one piece of tech then expand (eg. 3 gate and cyber expand then add a robo, 2 gates and a forge then expand etc. etc.
At bronze (through to platnium/diamond) the build isn't really important it all comes down to who macros better.

yea that's what i have read so many times with any guide is macro and control groups wich is a big thing that i have really been working on because i used to never use them but once i started doing that it has increased my game play alot. As for my money i try the best i can to keep it down.The build i do go the normal 3 gate cyber core robo and then into colossi and then expand if needed depending on the what the other player is doing.

um thats not safe vs 4 gate hahaha 2 gate then robo, also i have been teaching my brother who hasn't played b4 macro builds and he went 5/0 in placements. i don't think this whole "safe for bronze" thing makes sense at all, if its safe vs gm's its safe vs bronze learn macro builds and punish people for not doing them imo and figure out how to counter cheeses. fastest way to improve imo

well i did manage to get in a match with a 3 gate robo against a 4gate against protoss and it did work i was able to get emortals stalkers and was able to safely expand and take him out and was able to over come him with stalkers. so that game did come down to my macro and timing and thanks for all the feed back.

some builds simply don't work in lower leagues because their mechanics suck, face it, if any bronze league player could defended a sub 6 min 4 gate, well, that situation would never happen in bronze bad example.
Point i'm trying to make is that the build you do in bronze is irreverent because both players are bad, doesn't matter if you have the game knowledge of the pros, if you have a wooping 10 apm because your clicking on everything, moving the mouse to the edge of the screen to move around the map and letting your minerals bank up into the 1000's of 10 workers your not getting everywhere.
The focus should really be on getting you mechanics down first, as destiny showed by going mass queens

1 gate --> robo --> 2 gates can definitely hold a 4 gate.

That's how I hold my 4gates generally.
If you open normally like zealot stalker stalker after 21 second gas with 1 chrono on the second stalker, then keep adding sentries, you should have 3-4 chronoboosts to use on your own warpgate when you scout their 4 gate coming.

You can keep adding sentries until WG is done, then your robo is earlier so you aren't contained for as long since your first immortal is faster, or if they sentry contain you, you can go to colo faster.

I actually go 1 gate -> robo -> 1 gate and 2 gate robo expand, and it's a solid & safe build, but it's weak against phoenix play.

Nowadays every pvp expand or tech build should have a way to deviate to be able to hold a 4 gate, or you're just playing with luck.

how is a build not safe for learning? in bronze league the focus should be on mechanics anyway, no point going much into builds until gold when you can half decently follow a bo

well i have found it has won me alot of games and i have been moving up in points and it has held up to any match up of what i go with and thanks for the help guys and the different ideas.
