Would people be interested in possibly having a community tournament run? We could split it in two, Bronze Silver Gold and Platinum Diamond possibly further depend on the amount of people interested. All the other particulars we can work out later mainly just want to see if people were interested.

Would be good to just get the community involved with one another maybe meet a few new people, practice partners probably will even see some good games. Just want to get everyone involved really.

Anyways, suggestions, interest and what not below.

In an effort to organise more tournaments for the community, we are starting a Paypal Community Drive.

-The amount raised will go directy into the tournament fund pool, which can be seen at the top of the site.
-All payments will be handled and processed by PayPal so you need a PayPal account!
-The money will be used as Prizes for the tournaments and they could be COTH, Clan Leagues, Race Wars, KOTH, Gold and below tournaments, weekly opens, to name a few i can think off.
-We are basically helping organise tournaments for the community with your money!
-The chosen tournament will be a based on votes from a public poll created on sc2sea.
-There will be full transparency and every donator will be listed here with the donation amount.
-If you want your donation to be annoynmous just PM me

-Any big donaters will have their name specially mentioned somehwere prominent on the site for a preiod of time. (Unless you do not want this)

guys now you need to start suggesting the tournament formats for the community tournament and ill make a poll soon maybe this weekend there can be a tourney

I think people would still play in a community tournament for sc2sea. Rewarding the loyal members - if there was a prize all the good players who don't even use the site would just come and play in it to get the money.

Some tournament format ideas. All are very rough, need feedback about prize distribution and match format and need more suggestions for tournament formats. All registration open 30 mins before tournament starts, first come first serve basis.

Daily Vitamin Sea
Small max 32 man 1v1s tournaments every weekday 5 days a week. Prize Pool $10 to the winner. All games bo1, semis and finals bo3s.

Weekend 1v1 Showdown
64 man max 1v1 tournaments every weekend like Yoz's toruney. Prize $50 to the winner. All games bo1, semis bo3 and finals bo5..

Weekend 2v2 Showdown
32 team max 2v2 on a particular weekend day. $50 to the winning team. All games bo1, semis and finals bo3s.

Weekend 3v3 Showdown
32 team max 3v3 on a particular weekend day. $52 to the winning team. All games bo1, semis and finals bo3s.

Clan AllStar Invite Only Rumble
4 best players from the 4 best clans put into 4 different groups, with each clan mamber in a different group. Winner of each round robin group goes into semis which is bo3 and finals which is bo5. Winner takes $50.

Clan KOF Team Fight
3 Players in each team. Teams fight each other winner stays game format till no one is left. All kills possible. Maximum of 16 teams. This was the tournament GLaDe, me and Filthy played in as Team AU in the beta vs the USA teams. Although we got all killed by Idra, it was super fun and we beat teams like KoD (AxSlav, StrifeCro) and Fnatic (Fenix, KawaiiRice). Winning team gets $60

1v1 Superstar Invite FaceOff
The very best SEA superstars pitted against each other for all to watch. Ideas - RedArchon vs GLaDe. OxygeN vs GLaDe. Winner takes $50.

KOTH
Player with 8 wins gets $5, 14 wins $10, 20 wins in a row $25

SEA HwaitinG
Best game produced by challenger voted by public earns him $20

Weekend Gold and Below
64 man max to encoruage weaker players to be competitive. All games bo1, semis and finals bo3s.1st $15 2nd $10 3rd $5

Great point. Yea the prizes dont have to be big for each tournament, so we can have more tournaments with something to fight for haha.

I guess since its funded by the sc2sea community, only sc2sea members should be eligible?

Ok after discussion with Torniquet this is what we are gonna do.
The first tournament will be a community tournament to gauge interest and test things out. The Prize will be your very own custom title (Mine says Admin, Torniquet's says Head Moderator, yours can say whatever like "Zerg Hero!" within limits) and your very own WHO's WHO profile page. If you already have a who's who page you can choose one for a friend of yours.
