Without these companies contributing to our tournament it's fair to say the prizepool would be far smaller. But it's not just about the $'s. All these companies have a long history of supporting Starcraft 2 and esports in SEA. They care about the scene and our community. So many thanks to them all! If you esports fans, players etc can send them some love and thanks for supporting SC2 + the SEA Championship Series it would be appreciated in return. They all are leaders in their industry, so if it comes down to a choice between brands, pick these guys who support esports!
Silicon Sports are a Melbourne based company, responsible for the succesful Melbourne Barcrafts. They also have a quality SC2 team and academy, plus a dedicated casting team. They also do a lot of work in the DOTA community.

Group Stages (9th-32nd)
Everyone in a group players each other. The top 3 players from each group will join the top 8 season seeds in a 20 player Double Elimination bracket on Sunday 24th Nov to find our champion.
All series are best of 3. Map score will be used if there is a tie on equal series wins. If players are still tied on map score, the player who won their series in the group advances.
Players should follow the planned series schedule, notify admin before starting a series, and update score after each game, eg 1-0, 1-1.
Players are advised to join the in game group SCS Grand Finale, so they can contact their opponents and admin.
Winner of each series is required to email replays to eddieedwardssc2@gmail.com before starting their next series.
If players haven't arrived by 1 hour after group start time, they will be replaced. If you think you might be late, contact admin in advance.

Sat 23, 12pm AEDT
23 November 2013 09:00 AM SGTCountdown to 23rd November 9am!
Players shall use the veto system to determine which 3 maps will be played in their series. Both eliminate 2, then select 1 to play if they lose game 1. The remaining map will be used for game 1. Any problems, consult with admin.
Always great to see this kind of information being released a couple months in advance with lots of information regarding the details! Awesome stuff as usual, Eddie!
I suppose seeds just fall down for those players that are Retired/unable to play?
Correct.
If it's a top 8 player, eg. Mafia, he will need to confirm his seed for the DE bracket. If declines, next in line takes his seed for the DE bracket.
If it's someone 9th-32nd in group stage, they will be replaced by the next player in line. We shall have confirmed emergencies on standby, eg seeds 33-40 ready to replace if they no show on Day 1.
So even finishing 33rd-36th might be enough to play in the Grand Finale if you're lucky.
Hey eddie i have le offers
1. We have a graphics designer who can do some banners.
2. We have Insano who can stream in some pretty good quality and would probably cast as well.
3. Im willing to help you out with the admin side of things as well.
If any of these tickle your fancy add me on skype: duxxi3
Thanks to Gigaz from Phoenix e-sports for making us a tournament banner.
He's started his own business, Gigalith GFX. Can contact Squizyy_ via skype if looking for any graphic jobs done.
Also:
Lots of SCS points of offer this weekend for Masters Cup + Masters Of Koreign 1 Year Anniversary Invitational!
Plus if you missed the news, we've introduced new player challenges/show matches where you can play for points outside of tournaments.
At what date will the top 32 rankings be decided on?
Season ends Sunday November 10.
From there i'll communicate with all players in top 40 (as we might need a few emergencies to step in for no shows), top 8 will be required to confirm their seed, or else drop down to 9th (group stages).
Nows the time to make a move for top 8 and top 32.
There won't be a heap of tournaments in that time, so your best bet is to setup challenges/show matches where you can play for points outside of tournaments.
Also if any community members/clans, etc would like to donate towards this tournament, contact Eddie. All money goes to the players! A spare $10, $20 all adds up!
Happy to announce pXtRoy is coming on board as head admin for the SEA Championship Series!
Most of you guys will probably know him from the great work he does across several tournaments, pX weekly, wT weekly, PXL and his experience managing sea teams. He can answer any questions during the season and make match day decisions if I am absent or uncontactable. So many thanks to him!
16 days until season 1 ends! We are almost there. Some exciting news, games and good times to come shortly!

Looking forward to this and seeing who will take the crown for 2013!
Can anyone take down the mighty KingKong?
Will the young gun, Petraeus, finally win a major tournament?
Is Iaguz doomed now that widow mines aren't as strong?
Will mOOnGLaDe's hair help him make a comeback?
Can PiG finally buy me a sports car?

Unfortunately Axiom Heart has had to withdraw from this tournament, due to a clash with GSTL Season 2 Finals, where he has to represent his team Axiom-Acer. We wish him luck.
Would like to give a massive shoutout to Eddie/DevianT for his hard work for the SEA Championship Series over the weekend, as well as all year long. I really love that you've given meaning to all tournaments held throughout the year, from big things like ACL to small ones like the PX Weekly. I really hope it continues in 2014!
Was great to see everyone watch the stream and barrack for their favourite players. Wish I there to see Jared win :P
