I know I'm a bit late on the patching and all that - but I've updated my StarCraft II Wings of Liberty just 4 days ago. Since then, I've experienced insane lag offline and online games - and I know that in a completely new patch its normal. I've already patched it 100% before starting the game.
I've played at least 3 multiplayer games, ran a few single games, ran the "Unit Preloader" and "Unit Tester" custom games, but it is still lagging quite a lot.
Is there any solution to this problem? Or will it continue to be like this until the release of HoTS?
You might want to try some of the suggestions in this thread: even after the patch is 100% it's apparently still preloading the HotS patch (even when you're in the game)
I get the same issue, I've heard leaving the game open over-night and leaving the downloaded in the same spot can help by downloading the pre-patch files. The issue, Dingo - is intermittent spiking and consistent delay. I have lag all the time, but the spiking seems to be helped by closing the Agent.exe process when the game is fully loaded.
It's not too bad, HotS feels pretty smooth - so lets hope its all sorted out by then!
Yeah i'm getting the exact same issue, and HotS is unbelievable smooth with essentially no delay, and with beta ending in 2 days i'm going to have to play laggy WoL for 2 weeks unless i can find a fix that works

yeah the beta has been so good. I estimate my average ping at 80-100! Feels so good compared to laggy WoL!
WoL might get alot better after HotS goes live, I'd imagine they aren't getting new servers for a Beta release, merely utilising the servers they have for WoL.. so the HotS focus might have an affect on WoL servers? Either way, not long till HotS and that feels so smooth!

The latest big patch that happened to WOL should be the same version on the server and client side that the HOTS beta is using right now, so if you're having problems with this version but not HOTS I would not hold my breath for it magically fixing itself in 2 weeks when HOTS comes out (they'll be the same servers and almost the same client likely with some bug fixes).
The beta is definitely on a different server that Blizzard uses for most of it's beta's under the subdomain enus.nydus.battle.net. I had a very similar experience with the patch 1.5 arcade beta where it felt remarkably smoother, and then it went live and it was it's same old laggy WoL self.
So if you have issues, and the link I posted doesn't cover it, or some other fix, make sure you report it, don't wait until HOTS comes because the beta worked fine, there are a lot of different variables that could be making it mess up and the fact that the beta worked fine doesn't mean live will work equally well.

So I guess Blizzard decided to mess with me... When it said "100% Downloaded"... it was lying. I'm actually only 85% done after I checked my connection information. I guess I will just wait until it is ACTUALLY 100% done!
I can't wait till HoTS... haven't touched StarCraft in such a long time - this thing better patch fast.
