I know myrepublic is pretty good and smooth, but those who stream on twitchtv can you tell me which internet provider do you use and what plan. I plan on getting 100mbps on m1 fibre, but not sure about its streaming quality and upload speed.
Anyone mind sharing their opinion?? Do state your streaming quality as well (226p, 480p etc )
i use singtel 200mbps
connection to : na:a bit delay kr:laggy -_- i am last to load finish, sometime the timer suddenly jump.i start game ardy 10++ sec gone on game clock. seak, so far best eu:dontknow
never stream before but if my memory serves me right, i sometime upload back anime which i dl and total upload can reach 1mb.so i think will work same for stream
I stream my clan's clan wars regularly and tried streaming other games before, www.twitch.tv/fate025
I am using M1's 100mbps fibre optic plan. I can stream at 30FPS at 720p
i also experimented with streaming at 60FPS 720p, the internet can actually upload all the content at about 5~6MB/sec
However the truth is that almost no one can watch my stream at that high a FPS + resolution as their download speeds cannot match 5~6MB/sec just for viewing my one stream
I have been streaming for about 3 years.
Currently i'm using the OBS software for streaming, (i used paid xsplit before and OBS beats it hands down)
My desktop is an older core intel i5 (sandy bridge), with a mid range graphics card radeon HD6870
and older small SSD (80GB OCZ vertex 2) to help with the buffering speeds.
Most important components for streaming in my experience seem to be a fast CPU, a fast upload speed (at least ACTUAL upload speed of 6MB/sec), and at least a mid range graphics card if you want your streamed games to look pretty.
If you have a spare $100 to $200 you can also afford using a small SSD harddisk as your windows C drive. The SSD helps with faster loading and buffering speeds, so helps to give you a smoother streaming plus gaming experience.
Any queries about streaming feel free to PM me. Good luck and have fun streaming!
