Hey guys. TaXant and myself are planning on catching up with some mates in the new year, playing some games, old school Lan style. Shall be running a SC2 tournament. Expecting around 10 of our mates, thought we'd open it up to some of the local Melb sc2sea guys as well.
When: Sat 7 January
Where: Our place, we live at Knox, SE suburbs.
Players: 16-20
Prizes: Buying pizza for all those playing, $20 first prize, might increase or other stuff added
What you need: Bring your own pc/monitor/network cable - usual things
Masters and below, not a high level event, just some fun. Most of our mates go from barely played sc2, up to the gold-diamond level. Will be a Swiss Bracket Style, like ACL for those who attended, so you're matched up against similar level players, round robin style. Everyone gets to play a lot of games that way.
Open to our fellow sc2sea friends, prefer it to be members we know from LAN events, forums, clans, etc, rather than people just joined or with 1-5 posts, eg randoms we don't know.
Sorry mate. You'd smash everyone easy. Like i said, most of our friends noobs or Gold/Plat ish. You're still easily the best Melbourne player imo. Maybe if we do another one in a few months or something. Nothing personal, this time more for fun/limited places.

Probably some League of Legends, Call of Duty, Battlefield, Warcraft 3, other FPS's. You name it, someone probably has it.

Couple of my friends and I would definitely go if you held it at MidCity LAN or something ^_^
Nah, we don't intend it to be an official/large event. Like i mentioned in first post, XanT and I are just catching up with some mates, playing lan games, with a starcraft 2 tournament thrown in. Bring your own PC, free to play. Some sc2sea people that we know welcome, but its nothing massive, just a fun night. There will be other tournaments around, most likely at internet cafes.
Even the smallest donations help keep sc2sea running! All donations go towards helping our site run including our monthly server hosting fees and sc2sea sponsored community tournaments we host. Find out more here.
