I feel like I should clarify. Yes, he was walked over. However, I had told the admins that I was ok with waiting for him (he asked for a 45-1hr delay due to work). He was walked over at about 1hr20min, then came on shortly after and I wasn't even aware they walked him over in the brackets.
I told the admin it was completely up to him to walk over the opponent: I hate taking ff victories, especially if I'm given notice of why he needed to go afk (boss called him in on emergency: no way I'm taking a walkover by choice).
To give the walkover, and take it back, is really, really stupid. But don't crucify them over that -- GLaDes issue is much worse.
Yeah, there's more to it than what I said, but still: one case where they are happy to let someone play who shows up 20 minutes late(r than they asked for a delay for). And one case where someone shows up 20 minutes late, then gets walked over sometime after this while they are present (with no opponent asking for one) then Dox gets ignored until it's 'too late' cause the brackets have advanced.
Im just commenting on what appears to be two wildly differing adminning styles here... does an organisation as big as MLG not even give their admins some kind of guideline to ensure there is at least some consistency. Cause if they were just busting balls on anyone who caused a delay at all, I'd be more willing to accept Glade being walked over. But with incidents like this guy and Sterling being able to postpone for days with a series at 1-1 I'm just seeing people doing whatever the **** they want (and screwing all the sea players over in the process, sadly)
