I was going purely off what deL posted on liquipedia, technically Rayray is considered "Inactive" as he has decided to take a break (hopefully not permanently) from SCII

What about the other xGKing guys like iaguz or jazbas?
I'm going to have some time from next week so I may look at organizing some fun thingy's like this and of course another Meatex's Drinkin KotH
It'd be cool to do one of those team leagues like WC3 where you just had 2 players per team to fill in the time as a league without prizes or with very minor prizes (just sc2sea achievements?). The way they worked was A v C, B v D, 2v2, A v D, B v C.

iaguz was aLt i thought
light, mafia, jazbas were former nGen members from memory
But are we talking team league for social clans only?
If i organize a team league thing there is absolutely going to be a little 2v2 action involved ^^
To the OP - the problem is running such a structured team league similar to the Korean BW proleague system (with seasons, etc.) would require full participation and noshows would really hurt it. We've been spoiled with the first few team leagues having cash prizes and it would be hard with all the other tournaments happening in SEA to get players to show up with full strength teams each week for a coherent team league. There'd be no point if you can't bring out the top players most weeks and I'm not sure that the top players could commit to the time and effort a team league demands when they have prized tournaments to consider.
Running fully fledged team leagues without a prize, even if everyone turned up, would just cheapen any cash prize leagues of a similar format that may be planned in the future. Otherwise, the opposite effect would happen and the prizeless leagues would be much less exciting with a prized league around the corner.

Light, MaFia are TA now after nGen disbanded. JazBas went to inFi and iaguz left aLt and is unassociated with a "clan" as he doesn't really distinguish between clan and team and doesn't feel comfortable representing two organisations.

Iaguz from memory kinda left aLt when he joined xG something about not really seeing a difference between a clan and a team and thinking it was silly to be part of both (kinda agree with him there
Yeah Jaz, mafia and light were all ngen
its a funny grey area many clans are teams at the same time, it all depends on an individuals interpretation of where the line is drawn

Hmmm... as the conversation progresses I shall add my thoughts:
Teamleagues are fun.
However they take a hell of alot of time, the prizes are negligable once split, and schedules and organisation is a nightmare.
Players like myself would find them fun, but at the same time only be able to spare the time to play consistently if there was high viewer numbers (sponsorship) or prizes larger then I can imagine existing for this. The amount of sitting around watching games and waiting to actually playing is pretty high.
Would be fun but You'd need a strict set of rules and loose time-rules to get it going. Aswell as managers/liasions with each team that would reliably organise their team or we'd end up with lots of forfeits and such. That being said if it's well organised I'd definitely give it the time of day.
But yeah, team leagues are difficult to organize, that's why there were no SEACL season 2 yet.
to add to what froggy has said, its largely due to sponsorship issues, we have capable admins who have proven they can do a great job running tournaments and we have the clans and the demand for it. what we dont have however is the financial backing. with an amount of say $400 and seasl #2 can be done, maybe even less.
we are working on a new league for the new year, separated by divisions so hopefully that gets rid of the smurfing issue. im also thinking of having a "side FA Cup" tourney to run alongside it to make things interesting where all leagues will play against each other single elim style for all 32 teams. this will be in addition to the league where clans will get something for being champions of their respective divisions. kinda like EPL.
